Due to the original organizer no longer participating in the tournament I have taken over the project.
The following is mostly copied from the original thread. Thanks go out to kiarbanor for getting the ball rolling on this.

What's this all about?
The "Planet Fight Club - Meta 1 Tournament" is a friendly, meta level 1 only tournament designed to test the skill of your corp without the comfort of proto gear. This tournament is meant to pit merc against merc is grueling, low eHP battles that will test your tactical abilities and squad performance.
The Rules:
1. All modules, weapons, dropsuits and equipments must be meta level 1 only
2. All participating corps can only use mercs that share the same corp tags; no ringers of any type
a. If you enter the tournament and can only field x mercs from your corp, then you have to play with just x mercs
3. No vehicles of any kind
4. No glitching or using exploits
5.10 million ISK entry fee per corp
Prizes and Disqualifications
If any of the rules are broken, the corp is automatically eliminated from the tournament without getting their entry fee refunded.
Of course, the prizes will depend on how many corps are interested. For simplicityGÇÖs sake, weGÇÖll say 10 corps sign up (100 mil isk pot):
1. 1st place will get 60%, which equals 60 mil isk in our current example
2. 2nd place will get 30%, which equals 30 mil isk in our current example
3. 3rd place will get 10%, which equals 10 mil isk in our current example
Non-PFC Corps
If any corps outside of PFC want to sign up, they certainly can. However, they understand they are responsible for buying clone packs to attack those on PFC or moving clones from their non-PFC districts.

if you get 10 corps I will donate 100m to the pot for prizes.. so basically doubling the prize package
I will pay those corps myself, simply tell me who upon completion and we can meet up for your prizes
same payout you have posted.. 60/30/10
and no we will not be participating.. simple donation to promote these good intentions |

"Same corp tags" keeps us out.
As a note: I'd suggest "standard/militia only" rather than "meta level 1". Meta level 2 gear includes a couple BPOs, some variant guns, but nothing particularly impressive. And it's easier to make a distinction: If it has no Advanced/Proto/Officer triangle on the icon, it's good. |

I have to ask, what BPOs are Meta level 2?
IIRC i was only aware that the current BPOs are either militia or meta level 1 standard
Also Cubs that is very gracious of you to be adding to the pot so long as there are atleast 10 Corps taking part

I wish I could confirm this as my code for the uplink was invalid, still waiting on CCP to respond to my ticket and rectify

If the other teams want militia vehicles I'm all for it. This rule was established before Hellstorm entered its name in the tournament but its by no means set in stone. |

Just 2 suggestions, either way we are in
1. Since no one will ever be able to tell whether or not someone is using proto mods, you may just want to let the basic/militia suit's own PG/CPU restrictions limit the modules. If you don't there will be people cheating, it will cause fighting from speculation, and it will ruin the fun. It also won't make that much difference.
2. On a corp by corp basis you may want to allow newer smaller corps in newer alliances to submit of list of 15-20 alliance members they can pull in for these tournaments. We won't have a problem fielding a full team, but we have attacked more than 1 corp on fight club that can't field a full team even using ringers.
Also you may need to remove ILL Omens, from the list, I don't think they will make it. ;)
But it sounds like fun. |
