I did some experiments this weekend.
You seem to get a big chunk of isk from time in game. And then like the dev blog says, you get a chunk of isk as a portion of what was destroyed in battle. Finally there is the performance pay.
We tried to semi-AFK to figure out the starting base rate, and were stifled by that 'team payout'. We made as little as 150 isk/second where very little was destroyed and we won, to about >400 isk per second AFKing (on the winning team).
Some people think that getting first nets you a huge chunk of isk, but the reality is that most of the time, first place finishers are just already getting a huge chunk of the WP anyway. I had a domination match over the weekend where our bluedots were being dumb, I got nearly 2100 WP or something, while the next guy on my team had 600-700. I had about 30% of the WP and got about 400k isk, while my partner has 25 WP and got about 200k.

I just had a thought too...
If the team rewards are divided based on the time that you spend in battle.
Quote: Team rewards: The total rewards calculated from the value destroyed are split between the participating teams, with the winning team earning a larger share. Then, each participant earns a cut of the total rewards that their team received based on the time they spent in the battle. If youGÇÖre late to the party, youGÇÖll earn a smaller cut.
Then if you are in a match in which players end up leaving half way through, but you stick it out, you will end up getting a larger chunk of this share.
So to illustrate, lets say each minute in battle is a 'Mercenary Minute Share' (MMS)
If a battle lasts 15 minutes, there is a maximum of 16x15 MMS in battle or 240 MMS.
If all 16 mercenaries play for 15 minutes they each would get 6.25% of their teams 'team rewards'.
But lets say that you get redlined early, and all but your squad of 4 players stays, while the rest of the team leaves exactly half way through the match. Assuming it will continue to be a 15 minute match, the 12 players that left took 90 MMS with them.
That means that you and your squad would get an increased share of the team rewards since there would only be (4 x 15)+(12 x 7.5) = 150 MMS.
So each member of your squad gets 10% of the team rewards or 60% more of the team rewards for sticking it out.
Also, there is no mention of the 'individual rewards' being connected to what is destroyed in battle. This makes me wonder if the individual AND base rewards are both generating isk. |
