Hi All-
I am after reports of the squad deployment bug anytime after downtime on Monday. The bug is when your squad joins the battle queue and then some of the members get a scotty matchmaking error while the rest make it into battle just fine.
If you experience this can you reply here with the following details:
- Your character name and the time it occurred
- Whether you were the squad leader
- If you did not make it into the battle, try rejoining the same queue even if you are not the squad leader. It should hopefully rejoin you with your fellow squad mates.

[/list] Good to see some changes to fix this annoying bug! But one question: does rejoining the same queue work even if your squad is in battle, or does the window to rejoin effectively expire when they leave the war barge?

It took you long enough to roll out a fix for this. Do you work on these things single handedly?
in all seriousness, i am glad to see something being done about, but the turn around time makes it seem like you have one person working on the issue.
How many do you have staffed to research an resolve these types of bugs? |

While it started out nice with nobody left behind in their quarters, I got into a few battles with my squad (not leading it), after 2-3 matches it froze up again for me while waiting in the warbarge, where the game/ps3 isn't responding anymore untill a hard reboot. Same thing happened again after restarting the ps3, rebooting is boring. |

Freezing up after getting the "Waiting For Deployment" ie on the loading screen or in the warbarge, while it is extremely annoying, is a separate issue to the one I am debugging here.
But don't worry, we have people looking into that as well. |

We had a lot of people looking into this one defect this week, but it's had us stumped. Sometimes the bugs just don't like to reveal themselves to the devs so we can fix them. |

Happened about 3 times yesterday between 9 and 11:30. Not the first time. Sometimes I can deploy afterwards and sometimes not. The "Scotty" message is also intermittent. Sometimes the battle finder will run a timer for a few seconds and then disappear. When that happens, I usually have to fully reset. In all cases I have not been the squad leader. some of the times but not all, I have had a window open and that seemed to be the culprit. Then, all windows closed, it does it again. Intermittent software bugs are some of the worst headaches ever. Good luck and thanks Nullarbor. |

I feel ya. Many people apparently don't know how nasty bugs can be and how hard they can be to detect sometimes. They just think everything is clear the moment the bug is discovered and then they want the fix a day later at max. Not even considering that even a hotfix could break another part of the game. Carry on your good work. I'll be patient. |

1 very small hiccup
fielding my alt character BAMM COBRA, didn't catch the time but it was mid afternoon, I was squad lead, was waiting for deployment with a full 6 man squad and then scotty dropped me, just me ( must have heard what I had said about him) couldn't re-join the game ....... a prompt " squad already deployed in battle " kept coming up .....left squad and created a new one but couldn't join or invite anyone as the same prompt kept appearing as well as the three star team icon was still there.
relogged and its been smooth sailing from there |

Ah, the Heisenbug-principle.
Easy solution, btw: If a squad of 6 only get 4 players deployed, just take 2 randoms from the team and drop them into the now-open slots  |

I complain a lot but any dev that gets on here and says we just couldnt figure it out, well that's a rare thing, and as such brings with it much respect. |

This happens to me too; sometimes when logging into a new match and sometimes just spawning in general. It goes black either permanently or if I'm lucky enough someone kills me and it brings the screen back. |

Yeah this is a different issue to the one I am tracking as the squad deploy bug. We have other dudes looking into the black screen on loading / spawning. |

Joined a squad in-game. Game ended. Stayed with squad. Squad leader queued up for a new game. I got a Scotty-Matchmaking error. I noticed I had "Waiting for deployment" up on the display. A bit later I was put in a game. I was in a squad. The transcript in chat was still there from the last game. Squad voice was still on. The squad was a different squad!
Has anyone had a similar experience? |

Waiting deployment, and my teammates went to the warbarges, as my screen kept saying waiting deployment, Whne they went into battle my screen went black. We couild still talk, and they backed out so as to try again, but my screen remained black and I had to shut off the ps3 to do anything, as there was no reaction to any buttons. |

Hi,
Can you tell me in which screen you got the freeze? In a Loading screen(there is a turning circle on the right bottom), or just a black screen?
And can you quit the game by pressing PS button when you got the freeze?

Ok...since the last update was made like 2 weeks ago.
I've been constantly freezing while being squad lead or rather while i'm just in a squad. (I can play more games uninterrupted by the freeze bug when not in squad, but it's still present, just....more....random.)
The freeze occurs every other game, only thing unique that seems to help it freeze more often that i've noticed is when opening the chat screen to type messages, or while i'm browsing through the skill list and market place. This will cause me to freeze before a match is brought into que. (searching phase)
The freeze occurs before the game starts searching for other players as well as soon as it goes to the waiting for deployment phase. (once I get into the warbarage, i'm golden, unless I'm chatting it up with corp guys or people from another channel)
When I don't type/check messages on the chat screen, my odds of freezing seems to decrease, but not eliminated fully. It will typically freeze on the Waiting for Deployment screen prior to loading the war barge during this circumstance.
