So i've been playing on a CRT monitor since.. i got my PS3, and for the most part it was fine playing on a bad ass 30.5" CRT, but that TV died AND Dust updated graphics so you cant see anything on Std and CRT tvs.
I need to find a new tv for <$300 and <32" 1080p Monitors are fine as well so long as theyre not too expensive since i need to buy speakers in that case |

32" Samsung 1080p currently $232 on Amazon
EDIT: If you are located in Washington, Oregon, or California you can try Video Only. They have some really good deals and that is where I got my last TV from. |

Try and stretch to buy a decent brand if you can, it will be worth it. Samsung is probably your best bet. You should be able to pick up a decent 32" and make sure you get a proper 1080p HD and don't accidentally buy one of those horrible non-1080p budget things.
In the right setting and room a 32" can feel like a 40". (after a CRT any HDTV is gonna seem amazeballs) |

(after a CRT any HDTV is gonna seem amazeballs) i dont want a big screen, i play at my desk and the best size would be 24" so im looking at BenQ for now, but i realised theres no audio jack on the PS3 so i may need a headset/mic combo for the PS3 as well |

I thought I was old school. I can't remember even owning a CRT since flatscreens dropped in price. What country do you live in man?
Get a flatscreen. ANY flatscreen and I think you'll be happy vs. a CRT. Lol. |

I play on a Samsung LED 24",its perfect for the price, size and response time.
I heard the rumor, if you play on anything bigger than a 32" then you have to use your neck to track the screen rather than just your eyes (which is quicker) FYI.

this is true, i can easily tell the difference in my response times when playing on a big screen as opposed to a smaller screen even if said TV is much better quality and the smaller TV is much worse |

Now is time when everybody sell good monitor for cheap prices (crt/lcd)
In my country yo can get prices from 60 to 100$ for 22" crt profesional monitors... like Lacie electron22 etc.but you must search with HDMI. Also you can buy crt TV set with HDMI ;) (similiar prices) like samsung WS-32z...
If you working also with PC I recomend you used HP monitor LP2475w. 24" full HD with tons inputs ;) and minimal input lag :) price about 240$.
This things are old, big sometimes ugly.... but noone deny its parameters. Just search a little. |
