the aim assist caused matches to be decided quickly and didn't provide enough balance. It was turning the game into a hide and seek fest.
You couldn't move across ground at all. Aim assist nullified that. Just place your reticule on target and just track a little, and ouila, Kill plus 50.
It essentially over compensated. People with no sense of skill were granted a boost with aim assist. |

Oh yea most definitely. It's not as strong as before but its still there. It feels a lil bit looser than before.
The pre hotfix, the game played like a campaign of Killzone...a cover shooter.
I think the KBM vs DS3 argument holds some weight but at the same time, its all about the user and how he approaches the fight.

Matches have become blow outs again, at least with AA my squad could at least count on a random picking up some of the load or at least slowing down the bum rush. If you run across open ground you deserve to get cavitated.
ok, I'm not experiencing blow outs. A well organized synched team can knock out the best of em.
Plus you have maps that have various heights, crevices, and hallways that allow the mercenary ample time to create an ample strategy.
The problem isn't the aim assist, its the player. You state that. "At least with AA my squad could at least count on a random picking up some of the load"
It's on the player to see the challenge and approach it differently. Blues were relying heavy on the aim assist. The right positioning and strategy trumps all.

Yea, we going for that "you're just a typical player and I've been doing this for a long time" card, eh?
If you are that good and earned that BEFORE the aim assist addition, then whats the problem? CCP can't fix the blueberry, that's essentially what you're asking for.
I don't care about your stats. When the buzzer goes off, no one cares what you're ranked as cause you can fall as easily as the next mercenary.
I wasn't complaining about the aim assist. You're complaining about it, are you not? Think about my post objectively because I'm viewing this objectively. When the aim assist was implemented, I learned how to adjust to the surrounding mercs. The aim assist wasn't a problem. I'm actually surprised they changed it but I see why they did. With new changes come a different Michael Arck. I adapt to my surroundings.

It took you months to come up with a solution, and you implemented AA, to mitigate the grotesque inbalance between KB and DS3. Pulling AA has made that inequality even greater, specifically in regards to uncapped rotational speed for the mouse.
What is your plan? When can we expect to hear about it? Are the KB'ers still going to get their controls buffed visa vie manual settings? Why? and who? made the decision to pull AA? Does CCP think that the pounding that DS3 users take day in and day out make for good entertainment? MIce have a huge aim advantage and the WASD dance is stupid-Left-Right, but no middle! Is this fair to the DS3 population.?
Should DS3 players spend any more money to support CCP until this is disparity is fixed?
We have a 14 page discussion here, no word from CCP, and a ninja nerf on the AA. What the hell is going on here?
Our beloved community implemented the change...and I'm pretty sure CCP played some games and thought "this is just way too easy" |

KBM?
I use both DS3 and KBM. DS3 for my everyday infantry and KBM for sniper work. Don't know what they are using... |
