Technically neither should have recoil, because plasma is a heated gas and although gas is technically matter it has low density and therefore slightly negligible mass. Also we have modern guns that shoot modern rounds with insane recoil mitigation systems that give the weapon little to no recoil. |

The aSCR doesn't climb nearly as high from continuous fire as with the AR. Test it for yourself, shoot nostop with the AR and see how much it climbs, then do the same with the aSCR. The dispersion of the shots is harsh, but I think its balanced by the bigger magazine compared to the AR, and the nice sight. as a person who uses ars 99% of the time i see little to no climb when shooting it an it still has 0 spray even if it does climb. the assault scrambler rifle on the other hand has climb recoil spray over heat lower rate of fire an less dps. the only thing the ascr has goin for it is its red dot sight an a 72 round mag oh an its better at killing shields.
ASCR and AR have the same DPS. |

ASCR and AR have the same DPS. IIRC the ASCR has a shorter range than the AR (seriously CCP, add an effing optimal range stat already!) and it definitely has more dispersion / recoil, plus an overheat mechanic that kicks in before officer level gear. So in conclusion, the AR really needs to get a downside at some point.
When the other racial rifles come out the AR will have the lowest range. |
