all CCP has to do is just make it cost 2 isk, that way you can lose as many of them as you want and not really lose very much isk trying to get your 1 or 2 kills.
then it doesn't matter if it is broken cause you get what you payed for. |

i suggest you watch xgazbar video, some people do pretty good with these things, altough i agree they may need a buff, how exactly i'm not too sure |

My alt got killed by one the other day. It was my first plasma cannon death ever on any character I'm pretty sure, and it made me smile. It probably made the other guy smile too. |

I dunno. I started playing with the plasma cannon not long ago and it's kinda fun. Getting used to it now and how it works, and its limitations. Basically, don't miss. If you don't miss, chances are you OHK any suit. Oh and it's great fun blowing up vehicles racing towards your scout frame thinking you can't hurt them.
Not sure it's broken. Seems easy to miss though. More range than a shotgun so has it's uses. |

The best fix for the Plasma Cannon would be: fixing the hit detection for direct hits/splash, giving it a 2 round clip, and maybe giving it a splash radius increase of 1m. Other than that, the PLC is prolly the most fun weapon in the game - if you can use it. |

hehe yes i know, it was just kinda a silly post, i know that the plasma cannon needs buffs in other areas, i just wanted to see how some other people reacted to it. and i'm suprised that i got a CPM member to post on this post, but not on any of my actual serious ideas that would work. |

Two rounds per magazine would be great. The PC is fun and it works when it lands a hit. HAVs run and suit fly, it's a thing of beauty. The map where A in inside the bunker with the supply depot on the second level is a fun PC are. It does well in that room with the objective and if you aim correctly you can put it through that long narrow window. It works great in any corridor. The damage is fine and the speed increase really helped. |

+1 to the 2 round idea for the PLC. Using it a lot more recently and it's really fun to use.
I could live with a clip bonus from skills, say +1 round at level 3, +1 round at level 5 for a total of 3 at max level? |

Dunno in 1.4 PC has become super weak. Either get rid of the preheat pahse or make the projectile 10x faster. Other than that don't see any viable options. I certainly don't want it to have bigger AOE. No one likes a noob tube in an FPS. Well besides ppl who like crutches. |

Well I put the level 1 PLC on a free Dragonfly suit... it's 1500 ISK total. Everything lower than 50k ISK is free in my opinion.
So it's balanced alright in pricing department IMHO. |

dude a titan is like an EVE players dream, it costs soo much ISK, mercs make a tiny fraction of what an EVE player makes, i'm pretty sure if you took the top 50 people with ISK, combined their isk totals, and then spent all of it, you could probably pay for half of a titan. |

The Chribba personally owns 4 Titans and he plays solo.
Entity also owns four I belive and he did't have to resort to raiding his corp.
I know there is another player that owns the means for 10 titans and varous other super caps. |

You are wrong.
Titans have a whole host of things to deal with that most people don't want to have to worry about.
And as for them being expensive? Nope. They're cheap. 100B is peanuts for alliances. It's peanuts for some players - There are a number of trillionaires in EVE, each of whom could afford multiple titans if they chose to.
Frankly, my alliance could probably afford several and we're spacepoor compared to the people using these things.
EDIT: Actually, we have a couple already. We don't use them though :X |

My trooper is worth 280m ISK and on my eve account if i could fly one, i could buy one.
I make roughly 750m Isk per play session these days (solo), if i am feeling like it. (3-4 hours), thats 2 weeks maybe....to get one if i am broke, witch i am not.
I rather spend it on smaller ships in bulk, much more fun.
Or like Dust Officer Mods when they open up the market :)

Most people think Titans pwn all, due to their pricetag, but today a good hotdrop, with a bunch of dreads and supercaps = dead solo titan really really fast and everyone wants to be on the killmail.

They are 600 isk. You can die 166 times per ~100k isk per match. (On average, use militia fits with only the weapon changed.) If you're dying more than that, have a look here.
edit: But honestly, unless CCP has plans to come out with an actual rocket launcher for Minmatar heavies or something, the Plasma Cannon ought to be a rocket launcher. There's no reason not to, given all its drawbacks (slow RoF, one charge per clip, spool up time, poor reticle, ADS does nothing, etc.). |

I think it needs an assault variant with less damage but 2 shots and a breach variant longer to charge slower projectile bigger radius and more damage

Jacking with the economy =/= Balance.
A Free LAV could absolutely DESTROY any semblance of balance before 1.4 and now that it's fixed it's still an effective means of ruining people's lives if you know how to use it (hint: requires someone on the gun). |

I see this burning plasma ball coming to my direction and I move away just in time. "Wow, that was close!", I think... but I turned around and... I managed to see the shocking truth!
The guy actually got a double kill. One heavy (almost dead) and a Logi repairing him. Pretty sure the Logi was hit and the splash damage killed the Heavy.
I've never been killed by a Plasma Cannon yet. But this one was a close call. |
