I'm going to share my current favorite fit for general slayin'. Yes, it's a Logi slayer. Hate away, but as it stands, at least for the Amarr, it's blatantly better than assaults. Requires CPU and PG core skills to be at 2.
NB: This is the dark side to the guide I wrote on my alt. Rather than playing the stealthy flanker's EWAR game, this one is brute force- it doesn't matter if people know where you are, because you're equally well informed on their location. This negates the EWAR aspect and makes the game back into "who has more DPS/EHP?", which this suit will win against most people in most pubs, including a proto heavy outside of ~15M. Basically you want to do the opposite of flanking- abuse your scanner and EHP to get 1-2 front-line picks at a time, then retreat, rep, and repeat. (1.4 pub meta) https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=109063
Without further ado: Amarr Logistics A/1 GEK-38 Assault Rifle 'Toxin' ICD-9 Submachine Gun M1 Locus Grenade 2x Complex Shield Extender 1x Enhanced Shield Extender 3x Basic Armor Plates 2x Compact Nanohive 1x A-45 Quantum Active Scanner
Why this suit with these items? Can't beat that 3/3/3 slot layout, including a sidearm, at ADV level. The only other 3/3/3 is the M/1 Logi, but no SMG means that in an extended CQC fight, an assault would have the advantage. No ADV assault has 3 highs + 3 lows, either.
750+ EHP. (~300 shields + ~450 armor)
The two most overpowered-in-their-role weapons in the game. Full auto bullet hoses win every time with current patch state.
The A-45 active scanner is best piece of equipment in the game. There's no substitute for being able to see through walls. Generally, it'll cut at least half a second off of your time between someone coming around a corner and you filling their face with plasma, and with current AR DPS that's enough to ensure that you win most fights.
The compact nanohives are critical. Use them in between fights to quickly rep your armor when there's no friendly LogiBro nearby. Each one will restore all your armor, plus about 3 grenades worth of ammunition.
And the best part? All that for only 39,975 ISK, less than 1/4 the price of a fully kitted proto suit, for a very small drop in DPS and about -100 EHP. In a head-to-head fight, it's capable of going toe to toe with tanked-out protobears, with a solid chance of winning if you play the scanner right.

The Amarr Combat Ministry approves this message. All our troopers are slayers, doesn't matter if they are in a logistics suit or a scout suit. |

Amarr logistics is the bee's knees. Enough said. The anaar logistics i feel is the best suit out there, especially for my play style. Why my friend went gallente assualt i'll never know. |

Here's my cheapfit:
Amarr Militia medium suit 2x Complex extenders GEK/Plasma Cannon Basic SMG Locus/flux grenade Compact nanohive/stable uplink
Just under 600 EHP, all for 13-17k ISK.
Play carefully and reduce exposure time to reds, run around cover and pick off stragglers with the GEK. Or position outside kill corridors with the PLC and OHK proto medium suits. |

Meh, I'd much rather sink isk into an advanced frame than run a GEK on a militia frame. |

I would prefer to run an advanced frame too, but *SP* (specced into Caldari suits)
This one requires no extra SP beyond what I already have (OK maybe the sidearm but everyone needs a basic sidearm anyway). |

Nice guide. This is definately a good fitting for new players.
Would be interesting to know how much SP is required to run such a fitting.

<-- the OP's alt
The clone I run that setup on has ~6.5 million SP, with probably about a million squandered in testing out various light weapons and the commando suit. So, it's definitely achievable with 5.5 mil, or about 3 months of playing. Probably it could be done with less if you were really focused. |

Sounds a little bit much. Ill check how much you need exactly and post it here when I have had some time to look into it. Could be nice for making a guide for new players some time in the future. This game really needs new players to stay and the key for that is to help them with not wasting a single SP :-) they have so few SP anyway. |

Okay, I did the math- it comes out to just over 3 million SP (3,059,360), including the needed fitting skills. To see the excellent SP Planner with the relevant skills at their minimum necessary levels, here's a google docs link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtdWuDfmdYNDdFRQZ3lyQ0g2RjFzR0RvUnVjTXd3dVE&usp=sharing |

3 Million is not much!! Probably like 1.5 month play with passive and active boosters? |

My fit is-
Amarr Logi A/1 Series CRW-04 Scrambler 'Toxin' SMG M1 Locus Grenades K-2 Nanohives BDR-2 Rep Tool KIN-012 Nanite Injector
1xMilitia Precision Enhancer 2xBasic Shield Extenders
2xEnhanced Armor Plates 1xBasic Armor Plates
All with around 700 HP. Maybe not as good as the OP's idea, but it costs between 33 and 35k ISK. |

Looks like a solid shield-stripping LogiBro fit. My only question is, why the precision enhancer? Do you really get much benefit out of that 10M range passive scanner? |

P.S. This is more of a Support Logi fit, meant to stay behind and rep people, so stacking up on HP seems like what a support logi would do to me. |
