on the PS4? All you anxious little guys are being manipulated by the market and when you buy GTA 5 for the PS3 or 360 you will suffer. I am waiting patiently another 2 months for ye almightye PS4!!! YOU WILL CRUMBLE UNDER THE PRESSURE OF INFERIOR HARDWARE AND PERISH A HORRIBLE DEATH WHEN YOU WASTE ANOTHER 60 BUCKS FOR THE NEXT-GEN VERSION!!!!

A friend of mine was hyped for it for months but he thought about it and lost interest because the gameplay itself isnt all that different. |

I guess it all depends on GTA online... on if it gets ported to the PS4.
Fact is GTA 5 has a over 250million dollar production budget shattering almost every major motion picture budget but Pirates of the Caribbean which was 300m.
So it all matters on the online.... and DLC... But the pure amount of games within a game that rockstar are doing with the GTA 5 will let people sit down for months playing it... playing a full round of 18 holes golf... full wave races... scuba diving.. just so much.. |

They will re-release GTA5 and/or GTA Online for next-gen consoles quite a bit after sales slow down, considerably. They just won't admit it right now, to avoid early sales losses.
They will maximize as much as they can now, then offer new and improved versions for people to rebuy next-gen/PC users and new players.
This is the best idea and the most logical, based on what they are planning to do with GTA: Online. |

Ah yes, the unintended mini-games involving hookers.
Friends and I always enjoy a few rounds of "most original hooker murder" where one tries to find a new and amusing way of disposing a hooker. I'd normally take the accolade of most blood, by seeing how many dead hookers I could successfully lodge in the open back of the pickup.
It's tricky, you have to find hookers standing near walls and reverse into them, time it right and you got a dead hooker in the back and a bloody tail - time it wrong and you got the cops on your tail. My personal best is 3 dead hookers in the back before I drive the pickup into the water and see how many bullets a dead hookers body needs before it will sink.

A few things about possible next-gen GTA:
If GTA 5 was released on the PS4 in a few years, it would likely be a direct port of the PS3 version and have only minimal upgrades - your most valuable features would be the PS4 "share button" and having all DLC in the box at purchase.
As far as DLC goes, i also suspect a PS4 port would only come after all primary DLC has been released.
Rockstar apparently intends for GTA Online to be separate from GTA 5, and to grow and develop on its own. As a result, I expect GTA-O to hit the PS4 in a couple years as a standalone title, or in the box of a Complete Edition port of GTA 5 before becoming fully standalone.
My thoughts, in short:
GTA 5 single-player would hit PS4 as a Complete Edition after all DLC
GTA 5 on PS4 would likely be a mere port, with maybe one or two vanity-type things added in.
GTA-O, as a separate entity, will eventually hit next-gen as a standalone title. |
