1. Give HAV pilots the ability to control all turrets on HAV's simultaneously. Thus when I fire as the HAV operator, the large turret fires and both the small turrets fire. When I look left, my large turret rotates left and the small turrets do as well, and so on. This would give me access to 100% of the weapons I have on my tank, without reliance on gunners, and could lead to some interesting tactics. It would also give me a reason to equip more than standard, small blasters or missile launchers which currently just waste isk and cpu/pg on my tank fittings.
2. Introduce a way to increase HAV's turning speed. Acceleration and top speed are in a very good place for HAV's, and they both can be boosted by modules. However, current HAV's have absolutely dreadful turning speed and no way of increasing it. It would be fantastic if a module was introduced that increased turning speed, or if the skill "vehicle mobility" increased turning speed by X% per level. |

That's boring though. I'm going to remove turrets from my rail tank and probably add a damage mod instead, and maybe put a different rep on my blaster tank, nothing really changes. I'd much rather be able to operate the small turrets myself, and this would probably bring more diversity to my tank fittings. |

They target the damage source rather than what I target and have inhuman turning speed and accuracy. |

Heheh it would be fun to equip small rails and watch the AI go to town on reds, but this would be an actual aimbot and probably horribly unfair. I would gladly settle for having all my guns firing all the time. This makes a tank alot more scary and, well, tank-like. |

What about addint Turret Control modules as an option. You could have AI-control turrets which have high PG/CPU cost, but which make your Small Turrets automatically fire on nearby enemies in the weapon arc, with preferential targeting of enemies who shoot you, or a targeting link which costs a lot less to fit, but only aims and fires the Turrets where you're aiming and firing.
You'd have to give up space on your fitting to make it work, but that's the balance for having extra weapons without taking another player off the field. |
