The percentage bonus is an increase in hack speed, not a decrease in hack time. E.g. a 100% bonus would halve the hack time rather than make it instantaneous. By this standard, a 1.4s hack time would require a 700% hack bonus.
Edit: Did my maths wrong. A 600% bonus would be required.
Also: by this standard, a max-hack MinLogi, without a stacking penalty would hack at 350% speed, giving a hack time of just under 3 seconds. From personal experience this seems accurate. So I would conclude that there is no stacking penalty for hack modules. |

If you get points higher than a hack amount, if you waited for them to hack then to kill them, then you could get 160+ points for killing and counterhacking. Good point. Bonus to stopping a hacker? Hmm... not enough coffee yet to design this feature.
I don't think such an exploit would be a problem. Just think of how vulnerable you are whilst counter-hacking. |
