You're not alone, I think im up around $400 or so and im starting to feel the same way... Especially since DS3 has trumpt KB/M with the built in fine movement aim bot its got going on..
This of course coming from myself who only came to Dust because of KB/M, and now its complete **** compared to the new and improved DS3 with Aim Assist and reduced TTK this game is nothing but a peek-abo spray and pray... |

Guess I heard wrong. Thought they put out a hot fix for the aim assist.......you guys wouldn't know you know ways to used to complaining and blaming something else wouldn't even notice. I kind of hope CPP takes it out waits a week before they say anything then comes along and say, "You guys just suck. AA has been disabled. You are too busy making excuses and narrow minded to even notice."Don't. Then what are you lot going to do a group face palm??

I'm doing ok in my adv mini assault suit, with an Exile. No aim assist, and haven't changed my loadout from last build, tbh.
But i am keeping cover and an escape route close to hand, if possible. And spend a lot more time hiding while shields and armor regen.
It's definitely a different build - with AA dialed back it's starting to remind me of Chromo for some reason. But by far the biggest difference i've noticed is that the fun factor has gone way up. |

You have to understand that prototype is really only like tech 2 ships are in EVE.
in that sense all the general tech 2 ship has over the tech 1 ships is slight stat boosts and more significant and defined combat or logistical bonuses.
There is no clear advantage between t1 and t2 excepting the bonuses, which is honestly what I believe the case should be in dust. |

You paid nothing for the game, your SP is probably low, your gear is cheap, and you love that a crap build allows you to dominate without having to go through the character development/SP grind gauntlet that was once required of players to be good at this game. |

Not all that long. Frig PvP is over in seconds.
Cruiser PvP can be too.
Its only begins to take longer when you get into the larger vessels.
Parallels between tanks and infantry can be drawn between the larger and smaller ships respectively here. |

You do know you ca use lower tier gear too right? Or are you one of those people who only use proto gear. (I use Advanced gear and I do just fine) |

I started playing just after Uprising so when i left academy it was a slaughter house with me being the livestock of your choice. i now have almost 10 mil SP so am still considered a noob, but if i hit you with my free suit and bpo AR then u must realise it's doing 22% more damage than the advertised DPS of said rifle ( prof 5 plus complex damage mod). I really think i have been through the gauntlet as when i started playing proto stomping was in full swing.

See I do not understand the logic of most players. You invest 400 on a free game and people complain. You spend a monthly allotment on an EVE account and now you are somehow better. WTF ever, if the person can afford it and it makes them happy I say spend away. I was grumpy for a while that my proto was tanking as fast as my militia, but its not the aim bot or what ever its called its hit detection. Everything is hitting you, imagine you are a giant magnet and the bullets all want to say hello. Run a BPO with a GEK and make ISK. I am up to 168 Million and counting. Once they fix hit detection I can really afford the proto stomp that is much over due. I am looking at you noobies |

You are out of your goddamn mind. Dust has the longest TTK of any FPS on the market ... by lightyears. It is incredibly slow which is a substantial reason why a large part of the FPS community avoid it.
You want it even longer? How the hell do you survive in any other FPS? Or are you an EVE player who is used to spaceship battles with tank-stable battles taking 20 minutes? |

The TTK is a bit fast, and I have found that tanking health really makes no difference. Whether I have a glass cannon suit, or a shield/armor tanked suit, I die just about as fast. Heck, it almost seems like I survive longer if I have less health.
