"The Wrath of God is Immense. His Justice is Swift and Decisive. His Tolerance is Limited. Be Careful. Pure Thought is the Instigator of Sin. Be Watchful. Free Thought is the Begetter of Disorder. Do not confuse the morality of slavery within the Amarr Empire for that which has occurred in the history of the Gallente Federation or even the Minmatar before they were greeted by the Amarr. Unlike these past civilizations, the Amarr Empire does not use slavery as a means of asserting superiority for cheap labor. It is by Imperial decree that all slaves be treated with respect, for we must not remember that all bloodlines of the Amarr Society, even the prominent Khanid and Ni-Kunni, were once slaves of the Empire. So too will the Minmatar and other slaves be released from their bonds and enter or society as equals. Their lineage will be our future, and in that we love them as we love our own. I do know that we have a different form of slavery than other empires claim, however, slavery is something i will not use. all life is too important for me to force submission onto another being. im not opposing the empire, I would never do that, im stating that when your with me or around me, youl never become a slave, any kind of slavery is not advocated by me or my house. I believe in different paths to the light other than submission, submission will just plant seeds of hatred into the conquered, whether it be brutality or just submission. other royal houses do not look on the ni kuni as equal you know, they are still viewed as slaves and laborers to those in the empire
Such beliefs are well ingrained in Amarr society with most conservative houses believing that clinging to the old ways is the purest form of the Reclaimation, however there are many newer ideals emerging within Amarrian society that actively seek newer ways to Reclaim the stars.
While I am sure your family has denounced slavery, there must have been some time when they did count themselves amongst the Holders, or is your house newly upraised to nobility?
As for your assertion that the NI Kunni are not viewed as equals, as stated before there are many types of nobles within the Empire from puritanical, to conservatives, to more liberal houses.
All are the same in their devotion to God, Empress, and our immortal destiny. |

Tell me, which institute did you receive your education from?
Your condescending tone and self-righteous superiority in moral is most *pauses* disturbing. Because I'm certain my ancestors rebelled simply because it was fun.
And Im sure the Anmatar champion us because what we did to them was so terrible, ordering their society, building schools and hospitals, and giving them hope. |

((EDIT- You must understand Void, yes you are free to RP yourself however you like and Im glad you are trying an Amarrian.... while we do embrace individuality few amarrians consider slavery wrong, nor do they really stop to consider their individuality as something more meaningful than it is.... to us it is not a right or an ideal but something we have that we have always had for as long as the empire has existed. Our religion trumps all things.)) my family was raised to nobility about 5 decades after the minmitar rebellion. ((my family must be part of those "few amarrian" who do not advocate slavery))
(( That is not a commonly held belief amongst long time Amarrian nobility.... either at somepoint your were holders but renounced it or you have been relatively politically exiled by the conservative Amarr)) |
