You do not have to be a slave owner in Amarr society, but if you are actively protesting the Empire's stance on slavery that is a quick way to get exiled and removed from the Book of Records. While we of Amarr to enjoy a healthy expression of individuality, let us not forget an important excerpt from the Code of Demeanor,
"The Wrath of God is Immense. His Justice is Swift and Decisive. His Tolerance is Limited. Be Careful. Pure Thought is the Instigator of Sin. Be Watchful. Free Thought is the Begetter of Disorder. Be Respectful. Uniform Thought is the Way of Life. The Mercy of our Emperor is Limitless. His Rule is Benign and Righteous. His Love is Perpetual." - The Scriptures, Book I, The Code of Demeanor
Do not confuse the morality of slavery within the Amarr Empire for that which has occurred in the history of the Gallente Federation or even the Minmatar before they were greeted by the Amarr. Unlike these past civilizations, the Amarr Empire does not use slavery as a means of asserting superiority for cheap labor. It is by Imperial decree that all slaves be treated with respect, for we must not remember that all bloodlines of the Amarr Society, even the prominent Khanid and Ni-Kunni, were once slaves of the Empire. So too will the Minmatar and other slaves be released from their bonds and enter or society as equals. Their lineage will be our future, and in that we love them as we love our own. |

The Amarr form of slavery does not rely on submission, and many of the individuals who have came out of slavery have ended up becoming some of the strongest advocates of the Empire and Amarr faith we have seen. It does not plant the seed of hatred, if you know your history you would know that seed was planted in the Minmatar rebellion long ago by the Gallente Federation. Tell me, which institute did you receive your education from?
Your condescending tone and self-righteous superiority in moral is most *pauses* disturbing. |

Your condescending tone and self-righteous superiority in moral is most *pauses* disturbing. Because I'm certain my ancestors rebelled simply because it was fun. Rebellions before the Gallente tainted your minds were few and far between. |

Your condescending tone and self-righteous superiority in moral is most *pauses* disturbing. my father hired a personal tutor for me Of course he did. Be weary, Mister Echo, you are walking a fine line. The Empire does not look kindly upon cults. |

Surely. I find this rather amusing. A non-conformist Amarr? This reaction is certainly warranted. It is not that he doesn't confirm, we Amarrians embrace individuality. It is that he presents his intolerance on slavery as a superior morale; one greater than even the Empress. |

Actively disagreeing with the Imperial and religious tradition as well as the Scriptures is not something you should champion so proudly, Mister Echo.
I implore you to look past your self-defined ideological views as to why servitude is immoral and instead see the truth as to why it is a necessity, for we are all servants to one higher. Even Her Majesty, Empress Jamyl, is a servant - a servant to the Lord. Unified servitude is how our Empire was built into the grand civilization you see today, to defy servitude is to denounce your place among us.
((really trying to stay IC, but to follow up on what True said: Yes, there are a small group of Amarrians who are against slavery, heck there's even select people who aren't religious. However, these people don't go around actively sporting these views as it would go against the grand view of the Empire which is most important. As with True, I'd happy you're trying to role play an Amarrian, but you can't really claim to be an Amarr loyalist while openly disagreeing with the Empress, who is thought to be divinity incarnated. Right now you are sounding more like an Amarr cultist than an Amarr loyalist, which is fine if that's what you're aiming for.)) |
