AV nades in no way do that sort of damage to a well fit tank, even the Lai Dai's.
The best way to avoid AV nades is to use a scanner and prioritize maneuverability over heavy plating. |

I want epic tank battles in matches, not some scout running towards me spamming Lai Dais. and I want to throw nuclear baseballs at you....how do we decide the winner? sp? well it costs a **** ton more to be an effective infantry then it does to be an effective tank isk? tanks cost me millions since without nuclear baseballs they troll roll us, when you see a tanker go 31-1 and complain about losing his 2 million isk tank, well how much do you think those suits cost the owners. fun? I can tell you right now it's no fun at all getting trolled by tanks. numbers? theirs more infantry then tank pilots, so you aren't winning that war. end of the day av grenades are around because tanks are simply **** to fight if their is not a viable answer to them, aside from finding the nearest supply depot that they may or may not of blown up yet.
You Burgezze pos. You have NO clue how much SP it takes to properly fit a tank to be durable OR effective.
Don't EVEN start on their cost, SP or ISK. I am not arguing for us to be INVINCIBLE, just more durable than they are at the moment. I don't want AV nerfed. They need to be effective. It is just YOUR thoughts that leave the role wanting.
Peace, you POS. |

The best way to avoid AV nades is to use a scanner and prioritize maneuverability over heavy plating. I wouldn't even consider you a tanker according to what iv heard, iv heard that you don't even take other tankers head on, you go behind them where they cant hit you and make your move, by this meaning that you can take anyone on head on and you know it. I know that tanks aren't ideal for head on attacks, but when your going against other tankers, its basic respect for you take each other head on.
You've heard wrong. I can take people on fine head on.
Let me explain to you the situation that you are probably referring to.
One of the tankers in the Tanker QQ channel also known as "Tanks R Us" brought out a missile tank. Myself, being a blaster tank made of armor, knows that taking one dead on with open space between us is suicide. I flank to the side and get within CQC before he can shred me down.
He gets butthurt and begs me for ISK.
My tank's build is survivability and speed. I don't play stupid.
You want to play suicidally? Go for it. I won't. |

Play smart or die as a Tanker.
Just know you will LOSE ALOT OF ISK if you play as an idiot.
Also, I can take hits just fine, and I never ride alone.
I almost ALWAYS have my forge gun buddy with me to help swat tanks/dropships.
Slow = Dead
Fast = Your enemy is now dead, while you drive on. |

And my view, as an armor tanker, is that AV nades are fine.
I have only ever died to them when it was like 3 guys chucking them at me all at once, even Lai Dais. IMO, that means they are working as intended. If your tank gets downed by a group of AV users, don't feel pissed. Feel flattered. |

A well fit missile armor tank outside of blasters optimal will win. You can't charge them as effectively before they have you crippled.
A well fit missile shield tank COULD be rushed, but if he knows you are there and begins to back up, similar deal.
The best way for an armor tank to fight missile is to flank and get within optimal range because you will out dps them if you do.
Play smart or go home.

Who are you talking about Gorilla?
Oh, that one time you cheated your way to a high KDR when you killed 300 people in one match, which was probably just one guy getting killed and rezzed the whole match?
Yeah, we totally didn't see that at all. |

Our Deepest Regret wrote:Haaa. Two minutes ago, lost another tank. Blueberry fucktards spamming the missile turrets and not letting me recall + getting caught by an av guy in between my cooldowns equals fuuuuck tanks. Wake me up when 1.5 hits. Meanwhile I'm going to have more fun getting proto-stomped in my assault starter suits, playing ambush.
Just keep trying it. Each map has a different feel to it when it comes to AV and positioning. That is key to winning. |

I still don't think AV grenades are all that bad if you have a scanner and decent amount of resists as well as speed.
I don't think AV is balanced versus us, but skilled operators have been adapting.
I wish we would get some love. 1.5 is looking good. |
