The same can be had for infantry. I was in my 1100+ hp logi suit the other day with a buddy repping me with a proto rep tool as I took a bunch of incoming fire. When I finally died, (a considerable amount of time later I might add) it showed something like 9800 damage from a dude with an EX0 Mass Driver.
You probably were just sitting still long enough for someone to come up behind with a nanohive and AV nades.
I know I do it plenty often. Some tanker will get cocky and start camping an area, I'll toss some lai dai AV nades and a nanohive on a scout and flank behind him, toss down the nanohive and go to town.
Or in the case of a shield tank, some proto fluxes, a freedom mass driver and a damage mod or two.
You move faster than any infantry can, that is your counter to AV nades, don't let an infantryman get close enough to you to use them and you'll never have to worry about them, we only have three and that's never enough. If we can kill you with three AV nades, it's a fail-fit. Hell, it'll even help your chances against FG.

There is probably a reset timer added, but if you sustain continuous damage over time, it'll show the total amount of damage you've taken over that time. |

Fine, but it can't damage infantry.
Anything can kill infantry, including and especially tanks. Even a basic blaster can take out any infantry in nearly an instant if the tanker can track for a second.
List of things that kill infantry by themselves:
-Assault Rifle -Breach Assault Rifle -Tactical Assault Rifle -Laser Rifle -Scrambler Rifle -Assault Scrambler Rifle -Sniper Rifle -Tactical Sniper Rifle -Charge Sniper Rifle -Mass Driver -Assault Mass Driver -Breach Mass Driver -SMG -Assault SMG -Flaylock Pistol -Forge Gun -Assault Forge Gun -Breach Forge Gun -Scrambler Pistol -Assault Scrambler Pistol -Breach Scrambler Pistol -Shotgun -Breach Shotgun -Remote Explosives -Grenades -Small Blaster Turrets -Small Missile Turrets (hard, but doable) -Large Missile Turret -Large Blaster Turret -Large Railgun Turret (one hit kill)
List of things that can kill a tank by themselves:
-AV Nades, (more than you can carry, but possible with nanohives) -Swarm Launchers -Forge Gun -Breach Forge Gun -Assault Forge Gun -Large Missile Turret (hard, but doable) -Large Blaster Turret -Large Railgun Turret -AV Mines (kinda, I've only ever seen them work on a tank once and it was already injured to half health and was running. But I know if I don't include it there will be whining...)
So you want to reduce that list to a single counter of 3 large mounted turrets, when it's already less than one third the amount of weapons that can kill infantry, and only one weapon type of which is an infantry weapon capable of killing infantry with, and I'll assume you want to maintain the ability to kill every other thing on the battlefield with between 1-5 hits barring other tanks because I'm sure you'll want to give yourself a fighting chance am I right?

Sorry if i was abrasive, my sarcasm detector might not be in top shape since I'm tired. But man, I was just grouped with a guy the other night who legitimately and inconsolably thought that the only counter to a tank should be another tank... It was mildly infuriating.... |
