After making this post
I figured I throw some numbers out there for discussion. Realistic numbers, that nerf where it's needed while keeping the AR competitive while at mid-range. Please refer to the above link if you're wondering as to how I came to the conclusion to use ROF as the main (but not only) variable to adjust damage stats.
AR Type -------CURRENT STATS----------------------------------------------PROPOSED STATS
Militia---- 750RPM, 31 dmg, 387.5dps---------------------------------700RPM, 30 dmg, 350dps (aprox. a 10% DPS reduction)
Std------- 750RPM, 31 dmg, 387.5dps---------------------------------700RPM, 30 dmg, 350dps (aprox. a 10% DPS reduction)
Gek38--- 750RPM, 32.5dmg, 406.25dps-----------------------------700RPM, 33 dmg, 385dps (aprox. a 5% DPS reduction)
Duvolle-- 750RPM, 34.1dmg, 426.25dps------------------------------700RPM, 35 dmg, 408.3dps (aprox. a 5% DPS reduction)
I didn't adress other stats like range, ammo capacity, etc or other variants like the breach, burst, etc.
(because I feel all other stats and variants are fine)
I left the two higher tiers with a little more damage, because they are higher tier weapons. They should still be able to pack a punch. However, I recognize that the militia and std probably should be a little weaker. (which is why I gave them a 10% reduction)

@P14GU3: I would agree with you, except when most of the other weapons dont have any real recoil, giving it to just this one type will not help. It works in games like BF3, because EVERY gun has some amount of recoil. In Dust, many have none (or almost none)
@Delta: Not sure who your post is to.... I assume not me. Because I am primarily an AR user. I'm not complaining about being killed by them. I am actually saying I have a pretty easy time with them. They need to be adjust for SEVERAL reasons. Many of the balancing reasons are not just against other classes of weapons, but also against other variants of ARs. You must not have read my linked post. |
