I'm sorry to say you're a functional arrogant human being and that's probably not your only problem ! (exactly how 'functional' fits into either of those sentences is beyond me, being the linguistics expert perhaps you could explain that one)
Luckily for everyone D legendary hero has got nice helpful people like you to offer their time in providing more accurate portuguese translations. I look forward to reading a community spotlight with your name in it praising you for providing your services for free to try to help your fellow citizens.
I guess the most I can expect from someone like you though, is a bashing for commenting in a thread about a language I don't speak, that seems to be more your level. |

His portuguese is indeed at a functional illiterate level, there's no other way i can put it.
I have no interest in having portuguese translations, i shouldn't be expected to provide help of any kind.
Likewise, i'd like to see you say the same thing if the case was someone presenting a fitting tool website done on geocities with popups everywhere, written in comic sans and graphics made with MS Paint. And then see it being promoted by CCP.
That analogy is perfect for the situation, btw.
What I want you to do is quit complaining and if you feel that strongly about it offer your time to help make a better translation. If you're not willing to do that you have absolutely NO right to complain about someone else who is giving there own time for free to provide a service to the best of their ability.
Again 'functional' has no place in that sentence ... functional means something is working as intended, illiterate means someone isn't good at reading or writing ... if it's working as intended then it's literate, illiterate would be malfunctioning literation if you insist on using the word function ... but as I said previously it has no place in that context ... 'at an illiterate level' is all you need to say.
I'm only picking holes in your English because you're hell bent on picking holes in someone else's work AND slating CCP for appreciating his efforts.
I have not interest in having portuguese, Spanish, French, German or any other translations, so I guess that means CCP should stop doing those too since I'm so self important ! ... Nobody is expecting you to provide help ... what we expect you to do is not complain about someone else putting the effort in IF YOU'RE NOT WILLING TO DO IT YOURSELF !
Did somebody say "website", "popups", "graphics" ... have you even looked at that fitting tool !? ... as I've said, it's utter rubbish (no disrespect to the guy) but it's as good as it needs to be at this stage in DUSTs development, it does it's job, when things have settled down someone will put the time into creating a proper fitting tool like EFT (Eve Fitting Tool) ... look it up and compare them. Now compare your translation issues and tell me they're comparatively worse than that fitting tool is in relation to EFT. Judging by these comments they are welcomed by some at least, and that is enough both for D legendary hero to continue his work AND CCP to commend his efforts.
Get off your high horse and either help him or STFU. |
