I saw yesterday the CCP teaser video of Dust from 2012(?), I believe, where it showed the relative cost of the items in Dust, ranging from the suit cost to the HAV, RDV and on to the MCC. What's interesting is that it also showed an isk value for OMS items that were dropped in, such as a turret or supply depot, etc.
So why don't we have the ability to pay up for OMS? Isk is a very big part of the game, so I'm not really sure why calling in a rail turret for isk is particularly contrary to game play. Are we only going to have precision/orbital strikes available to us? Off map support seems to be limited to that one precision strike or we have "no assets available."
During beta, was it always like this? Was it cut? For what reason? |

I believe this was supposed to be one of the functions of the Logistics Class, but was removed for some reason. Don't quote me on it, though. |

The video you watched was from 2011 actually.
CCP have always intended what you describe in your OP. In fact Installations used to be a tab on the market as well as a blank in the right-d-pad context menu.
It's not as easy to implement as the OMS gamemode, but it's probably one of the features CCP intend to fix up within the next couple of years if I could hazard a guess. |

it was something they couldn't get right in coding so they just dropped it way back in the early days but still managed to get into the menu and was once part of the market along with skill clusters and other fun tools. |
