How do I GÇ£file a petition under the Community & Forums CategoryGÇ¥ on the Forums?
One of my Guides on the Rookie Training Grounds was locked. I have no idea why. I have gone through the terms of service and canGÇÖt find anything that would remotely justify locking this thread.
I am trying to provide a service to the DUST 514 community. Now my guide is locked, so the community canGÇÖt provide me with feedback to help keep the guide up to date or ask me questions about it.
I canGÇÖt even repost the guide, as section 25 in the terms of service says that I am not allowed to repost a locked thread.
I would like to ask a moderator to review the thread and tell me why it was locked, so I could avoid whatever the infraction was in future. How do I go about getting a moderator to review this decision? |

It is still locked. My 5 other guides have been more active and have not been locked. The guide that got locked for inactivity was edited less than two weeks ago, but editing a thread does not bump it.
According to section 25 of the Forum Rules I am not allowed to repost a locked post. So copying and pasting it would be a violation of forum rules. Besides, it is linked in at least 10 places, so I would have to track down the links and update them, and get other people to update their links to my guide as well. It would be a real pain. |

I wish you luck in a solution...
my only other thought is start a new up dated thread, copy the old to a word document, edit it and repost in a new, updated thread...that way you wouldn't be breaking the rule. |

You can use [email protected] but you would likely get a quicker response by submitting a help ticket on dust514.com. Chances are it was just locked due to inactivity. The moderators should be able to flag it so it doesn't get locked. |

Thanks Stile451! I have been trying for four days to figure out how to put in a ticket for Forum related issues. I had looked all over the Forum, but I did not even know about Dust514.com as I always Googled GÇ£Dust ForumsGÇ¥ thereby bypassing the main page.

In this case (and likely any of the other cases where old threads are locked without warning) the threads have been locked for having more than 90 days of inactivity. This is an anti-necro function. If you have relevant content that you want to add to a thread that's been locked due to age, then you can submit a ticket in the DUST 514 Community & Forums category and we'll have a look. Do keep in mind that we will not always unlock a thread, so I recommend you include some info on what you plan to add to the thread if you want it unlocked. This only applies to threads locked for for inactivity, not threads locked as part of moderation action.
