Nothing but scorn and insults by those who barely know of our universe. Backwards Gallenteans and Matari who are most likely uneducated, some times even Caldari or Amarrians act like this too.
I try not to group you all as such, and I haven't I respect some Gallentean citizens.
Mr Umbra, Denak of the Intaki, and my rivals Arkena and Voic Echo..... but no others, not have proved half as worthy as they when I comes to earning my respect and admiration. |

You are very hostile today, Adamance. I have not seen you like this before. I have explained our culture to you, and you have to us. Or, we have both tried to, at least. Scorn and insults? Backwards? Why, all we do is question your justifications of slavery, of all things! Slavery! Us backwards? And you say to us, "we are trying to help them", or "we don't do it to exploit, like you think we do!" And what do we say to that? Or, at least, what do I say? We do not care. We do not care what your motives are. Now, we know what they are. Religion. That is why you enslave them. But we still don't care. There is no justification for such acts. That is what we say. But when you try to rebut, all you say is "well, you just don't understand," when we do, we truly do. Us backwards? The nerve you have to say that, Adamance. All you do is grasp at the thought that us Gallenteans do not understand. That we are selfish and immoral, when all of that is simply propaganda.
Then you shall never agree with me and neither I with you. What the Amarr do is a necessity in this universe whether you see it as such or not.
Backwards is a term I tend to label misinformed Gallenteans with, those who have not any education regarding to the Amarr or the other cultures they co exist with, not a term I would use for you perhaps who knows enough, and has discussed enough to know better.
As for your first point all I say is that we don't enslave people to make them subservient to us, not in the sense I believe you mean, nor do we wish to exploit them for labour, money, or personal gain. Slavery is abhorrent to you as sure as the sun rises, but the desire for unity and the concept of seeing good done in the universe is not. |
