This is why your broke, when I started this game in jan/feb EVERYONE had a needle, logies were logies an assault picked up the fallen.
We need this back. Right now it's too easy to kill.
People use free fits to make way too much money an nobody picks anyone up because the free fits kill just as good as a proto.
So I propose after you fix this easy free fit killing hit detection aim assit thing you start looking into options such as:
1: certain fits can use certain equipment or certain fits receive more wp for said equipment or certain levels of said equipment receive more wp.
So if say a militia needle is 40 points basic is 50 advanced is 100 proto is 200 wp Repair tool same thing more or less so you don't have guys punch reviving or jumping off building to boost
2. We need some type of incentive for players to get back to being the game it was 9 months ago.
3. Maybe the point system can only work on the same player a few times an it works it's way down like how you can't constantly milk things for points.
If ccp can take the strength out of AA then we can have some of those blood pumping death dances back an people will squad more often an pick each other up to avoid losing valuable suits.
Needles aren't used in pc or even pub matches, AA = use free gear and logis have become assaults, heavies don't get steady reps an arnt scary anymore an there's no more heavie logi combos.
It's lost what made dust be dust an is turning into everyother game.
An with Scotty wreaking a nights worth of playing people have lost the drive because the game changed too much too fast. We need it to be that niche play style that other games don't have or it will fail.
I love this game an I want to see it work as intended |

I still use a needle and repair tool, had to swap nanohives or uplinks for scanner thank you CCP. plus we need to actually SEE the health bars to know where we are needed. i can't see a persons health unless i have a direct sight at EXTREMELY short range. also people die too fast to be healed now :( |

I play as a logi and have a needle on every suit I run. Constantly picking up fallen blueberries and grapes a like, while repairing them afterwards.
On a side note, still pertaining to what you're saying, I get picked up by blueberries all the time. Unfortunately they're all what we like to call - troll medics. Pick you up for the 60 points in terrible locations where you instantly die again. Maybe you're not getting put into matches with these troll medics, but I sure do, and desperately wish I wasn't.
As for repairing its nearly impossible to see anyones health bars anymore. Usually I don't repair people unless they're in my squad asking for repairs or its a blueberry I just injected. Thats an issue that CCP should most definitely look into. Maybe its meant to be that way, which is fine if it is, but its utterly annoying. |

atm my full BPO dren assault suit with dren AR is as durable and effective as my full PRO version. I mean screw the extra 400 ehp and damage, the effects of it are negliable. Only 1 suit costs 4.5k per pop and the other 140k per pop.
Hmmm 1.4 is good for isk generation |

In this update needles have been replaced by scanners. Most people are running cheap suits like the Dren Logi and fitting it with a flux scanner, hive, 2 complex dmg mods, dren rifle, 2 enhanced armor and just rolling out scanning and killing everything, Pickups are pretty much a thing of the past at this point. Before this update you could take a couple hits while reviving someone, now you melt like butter and its not worth doing.
I was talking to my corpmates last night and said scanning was setup like the necromongers on Riddick, lense em and cleanse em! Its all about the scanners in 1.4................... |

Logis need a shield bubble mod that, lasts maybe five seconds for their squad to provide supressive fire, an then it has a recharge rate but only works after receiving nanite injection points then it turns on, an not moble just stationary at the death location an give you time to shoot from inside the shield for 5 seconds
Then again you would have a guy die on purpose so the logi could use the bubble , milk points an use it as a way to advance? Maybe something of the sort who knows |

Until injectors are worth a damn for shield tankers I probably won't ever run one again.
They need to restore some amount of shields to make them more meaningful as a means of reviving all suits, not just armor tankers.
we also need a MUCH longer bleed out time... at 20s you have to revive in combat, and we all know how stupid that is. |

The reason most logis dropped needles is because the flux proto uplink can have a guy back on field in 3secs anyways and you don't end up with some dumb blueberry reviving u in middle a fire fight to get instantly shot down again and when needles were broke it was a better option. I've noticed needles workign a helluva lot better now and i have a few suits with needles on again but it just seems easier and more beneficial to the team to carry an uplink instead, the whole squad benefits from a faster re-spawn instead of waiting for a logi to try reach them before bleeding out. in that time 4 guys could have respawned on the uplinks |

Needles and repair tools aren't nearly as useful as they used to be so I've gravitatated toward DU's and hives to make a difference.
I lay out seven proto uplinks, then swap out my suit for seven proto hives, then swap out to lay six more proto hives. That gives my team a place near the front to spawn, ammo, and triage they can run to.
After all that I can swap out to a standard medic with needle, repair tool, scanner, and MD, but the vast majority of my asistance comes from the first three fittings. Most people die too fast to be repaired and drop out in the open rather than near cover for the same reason. Going for a res in such a situation is extremely risky because you can't back out once commited. The TTK is so short the medic will drop the moment he realizes the field is hot.
It's a little better inside the new facilities where the field of fire is severely restricted and I've had more luck with the traditional tools there. |

The whole game makes no sense anymore.
With all the instakilling going on, a logi has no possibility to keep up! The biggest joke is the reptool, it takes three times as long to lock onto somebody than it takes the enemy to take him down... This game is simply broken, and the numbers on EVEoffline show that. What's the point of skilling into all that gear, when any player (noob or pro) can take down any suit in 1-3 seconds?
It makes absolutely no sense to have all this crap. A medic does a better job, when he prevents the enemy from killing his teammates by killing the enemy!
Sorry CCP, but why can't you do small steps. Instead of allways implementing everything at once and messing things up! |

Sorry, I'm one of those "troll" medics you speak of. I do, however, come bearing a proto Nanite Injector, I just want to try to save you some isk. If I think you have a relatively strong chance of making it out even under fire, I will usually go for it. I'm still a Logi with Logi gear. My squads have scanners, I don't. I'm not a fan of uplinks. Remotes and Proxies, well, that's a whole 'nother side of me.

Meh. I use the nanite injector on my favorite fit, "The Ventus Standard", and I try to pick up people when it's beneficial for both of us. I don't really care that much about it since most people don't know how to use them OR they'll ignore you when you're 5 meters away and go grab a kill or something and walk off. Maybe it's just me but I hardwired myself to notice the symbol all of the time and actually be aware of the enemy presence when I'm about to pick em up. |

1. Half Good idea. But just make it so person doesnt recieve any points unless person STAYS ALIVE for 10 seconds.
2. either a "reject revive" option, or a "dont get up just yet" option.
I think a play dead option like that would be pretty cool. but only for post-revive, not a general "play dead when I feel like it" thing. The enemy should have the option to OHK you just like a pre-revived corpse though. And you shouldt get any participation-SP points, while you're playing dead. (Just like you shouldnt get any while you are hangin out in the MCC)
Hmm.. actually, it would be kinda funny if a full-HP heavy decided to randomly play dead for whatever reason, and then some scrub got a OHK on him for it :D |
