Oh look, no Devs have responded. How exciting. Well, maybe not.
How about this, just like I thought.
1.5 will re-balance vehicles even though:
Small Missile Turrets don't work the majority of the time (in particular on the top turret in a tank).
Large Missile Turrets will send out the first missile into a hilariously incorrect vector.
Large Rail Guns will not do damage every so often. No idea why, just shoot and get nothing. No over heat, no target damage.
Small Blaster Turrets will occasionally not work on a specific tank. I will have to hunt down the work around because I don't know it.
This doesn't even bring up the OP's viewpoint. Specifically a Tanker is blind beyond 300m and less than that if the target is below the plane of the Tank. Probably above as well.
But we have pretty, pretty grass that texture pops like a pre-schooler on Ritalin but we cannot see a target. Sometimes the target can be seen by the gunners and sometimes they are just as lost as the drivers. The Magnificent Draw Distance Maximum Distance of Not Nearly Enough even allows the majority of Swarms and Forge Guns to fire without leaving a trail.
And no, adjusting your texture detail to low in the System->Options does not change a thing.

That is horrible, on reflection it would be a probably outcome if the previous problems combined.
I wondered if the target was getting hit indicators. Thanks for the confirmation, aka bad news. |

were not actually going to get an answer to this, but i have to try anyways. I posted about Turret Skills not actually providing additional damage bonuses in Uprising, unlike Chromosome and earlier. The documentation (such as it is) claims it still does state the claim but in testing they provide zero benefits besides buying and equipping turrets.
I finally sent in a trouble ticket. We will see if it produces any response at all much less one in time to effect 1.5.

Almost everyone except the OP it would appear. And New Berries, of course. They are soo cute when they are optimistic. But DUST will beat that out of them or getting Pub Stomped by invisible enemies will. |

Hey Chance, nice to hear from you in yet another post.
I wonder why you think this will help? CCP/Shanghai doesn't believe that the draw distance cut off being less than the targeting distance of any weapon is an issue. Nor are they going to do anything about it. Maybe they are unable to figure it out without help. Maybe they don't care.
Maybe they are have gone to seed. Why? Because we get grass growing but still cannot see a target at 210m.
New way to profit: have a decent game in Beta, trash it during the release, don't fix it, profit! At least that is what it looks like from this side.
Until the rendering, targeting, draw distance cut off is back where it was in Chromosome my wallet is closed. Whatever they don't want to call it or recognize it doesn't matter. If it isn't fixed ... no more packs from me. |
