Aye, we need the SP rollover system.
This is one of those extremely important additions that don't seem like it's a necessity.
But it is.
This has recently become a huge problem for me. (selfish i know, to start wanting something when the worst case scenario starts effecting me), but still...until now i never had a problem with it.
A few days ago I was promoted to regional manager of blockbuster (lol, I've heard many responses. "What? you still have a blockbuster in your area?" "Why do you have a blockbuster?" "Why don't you rent movies through hulu plus, PSN, XBLM, etc" please refrain from these questions because it confuses me as well). My town in Wilmington North Carolina is apparently in favor of still renting hard copies of movies. So be it.
But, with my recent promotion of running the very few blockbusters that are in my "area", i have VERY little time to play Dust.
Now that I'm working 60 hours a week minimum, I've started to feel the effect of not being able to obtain a reasonable amount of SP each week to satisfy my Dust cravings when i CAN play.
Passive boosters simply aren't enough (even omega boosters which I've been pimping for 3 months now), and active boosters are now useless to me beyond 2 days of the week.
I FEEL for the people who love this game, but have jobs. i FEEL for their want of something more in this game due to their earthly limitations. I can now feel their frustration and hope for the future. Deliver CCP...i know you will. |

Our Deepest Regret wrote:How would you get the rollover? Would it just be your bonus SP total that increases week in and out?
From what i gather from CCP, yes.
Bonus SP is a hell of a thing.
My thoughts personally, would be that these bonus's start stacking.
I missed out on 100k SP this week, so next week...i have a bonus that would attribute to me making "x:" amount of SP each game to compensate for "x" amount of xp missing.
To me, bonus increases dependent on the amount of days absent, make a more balancing sense then simply providing SP based on the amount of days they missed out on.

aye, and aye.
Long overdue....the concept even came up long before Jan.
But we are at a time where CCP CAN develope this system within the next couple of months.
NOW IS THE TIME CCP.
This is one of those core mechanics you desperately need in the game.
edit - Not only would it help many of us who simply can't play this game because life is calling, it will give others who feel this game isn't worth their time, at least a shot at it. because it literally CAN be worth their time. |

Okay, this is my idea of how the rollover SP system should work.
It should be purely percentage based.
Say i didn't played for an entire week and missed out on the full week of SP.
Next week i should get a 100% increase in SP gained for that week to make up for what i lost.
Now, i might not play constantly each day to make that 100% SP increase worth it to catch up...but its a damn good start to what i missed.
Those values can keep adding up.
100%, 200%, 300%....they aren't guaranteeing you WILL get that amount of exp while playing....but you will easily be able to contend with others who can't play as often as a result.
And if i played enough during a week where i recieved at least 50% of the possible SP i could have gained, next week i would have that "leftover" increase of 50% SP as a "bonus" per match, to continue to gain what i havn't received.
With this system its completely fair. Only the dedicated would max out their SP each week, and the people who love the game...but can't dedicate their lives to it...also has a chance at becomming "god". |
