CCP, ever since the 1.4 update, scout suits have been useless. I generally run scout suits i have over 200hp total and when i shotgun i go against Minmitar logistics with like 700 armor because of the armor buff. It takes me about 5 shots to kill one of them. Most of the time i dont even get my first shot off because they chew through me like butter. Me and a few other people are the only ones who run scout. The only scouts i see nowwa days are proto Gallente.. But they armor tank which defeats the purpose of the scout suit...... Either you give the scouts a buff or give me back all the ISK & SP i put into light dropsuits, shotguns & nova knives.

A few? Look at the Scout killboards. Also, my Proto Gallente is not Armor tanked, but shield. It maxes out at around 300 eHP with my current skills and fitting, which can be one shotted by a single grenade. Use stealth to your advantage, especially with the Active Scanner usage seen since 1.4, if you can creep around (mostly) undetected, then do so. Scouts aren't meant to be 1v1 pros, use speed to flank instead of direct assault. Seriously, go to the Scout Killboard to get advice, they're the best there are.

Today I found myself permascanned in three matches whilst running profile dampeners on a scout suit.
