I could link a video of an old closed beta gameplay, but I'm worried it will be seen by devs and taken down (non-disclosure agreement still applies to pre-open beta footage). Anyway, can someone tell me the name of the song that played during battles?

Also, aaaaaah, the feels! I remember that old intro music. I remember wondering why, when I had finally found "A Surplus of Rare Artifacts," it just sounded... off. Wrong, somehow. Apparently my version came second, so that was the one that was "off." Ah, well.

The music itself is barren enough that it could easily be altered depending on whats going on. Very few games use a truly dynamic music engine though. It is becoming a lost practice :(

It is becoming a lost practice :( I think that a lot of FPS games (BF3, TF2 not sure about others) just opt out of the music entirely (aside from menus) because it's so hard to predict what the player is feeling at the moment.
