Even though we are mercs doesn't mean we don't have a rank
Now I will say this.....I hate cod with a passion....but who here actually hasn't ever played at least one of them and had SOME enjoyment out of it......one of the things I enjoyed was ranks for your character and little emblems you got for achieving ranks and prestigeing
Could we implement something like this for dust
Here are some ways I think you should "rank up"
1. Starting with a fresh new character you are at "rank"......after doubling your sp you rank up to rank 2 then after doubling that you go to rank 3 etc.
2. Achieving an amount of sp and achieving a number of new skills to a certain level

How about just implementing public corporation roles? Dust should never be about how much SP you have making you powerful.
So my thought is a small star over the heads of CEOs of corporations, and a different icon for directors. |

yes but you wouldn't get anything out of your rank. just like uncharted,gta,TLoU, ect. its just a number. if there was like 50x BPC at certain lvls then i guess it would be cool. |

This is something best left in corp. As previously said a rank doesnt mean anything, doesnt offer anything.
In Eve you can gain rank within a faction based of your standing, something Dust currently doesnt have. Also it doesnt offer anything in that game either. |

I like the idea of militia ranks as well. In EVE they are based on your standing with the chosen militia. It's possible to 'rank up' in one militia and then switch to the other friendly militia and do it there as well. It provides an indication of time spent supporting a faction and could come with other rewards, such as custom skins based on rank or access to a faction store.

Ranks assigned by player Corps for their members? Yes.
Medals and other non-rank rewards available to Corps to offer their members? Yes.
Pre-generated awards given for achieving certain stats, whether SP or performance-based? No thank you. |

I believe you also earn loyalty points for the faction store based on the rank of the person you killed in EVE and the ship they are flying. Seeing rank when you get target information would be nice as well as some additional reward based on their rank and meta level of their suit and weapon. Not necessarily SP but some form of loyalty point system. |

Its not useless information and emblems and such....you can see what is on the opposing team......how "stacked" teams are......which corps have "better" players......what kind of gear they could possibly use.....its not just useless |

I believe EVE has a simular system, but only if your in a corp. I don't know about ranks, but they do have a medal system, that can be given by a corp to there members. Would be nice to see something like that in Dust. perhaps like above said. A rank system for within the corp your in. |

I think they will introduce the possibility to give Mercs medals and a rank later on. This is a corp thing in Eve. It should be in Dust too. |
