Thats sounds like the 2 guys who bought practically the entire grain market a few years back, they bought so much grain, th at they litterally couldn't sell it, they owned such a large stake, that if the sold any, it instantly lost value and they could only sell it a 2p a kg, even when the current price on the market was -ú2 a kg, they had to wait for the market to expand around them, and they lost tonnes of money in the end!! |

Economic warfare is a huge part of PVP in EVE, or at least it can be. Dust is a skeleton right now, CCP is still fleshing this stuff out. e.g. they just got hit detection in a good spot
Im not clued in on the eve market, but an unpoliced player market usually forms its own robust economy!! I mean lets say on the first day EON realiease a load of proto salvage weapons, for dirt cheap, the smaller vendors will undercut them, because they can afford to, now all that time the EON gear gathers dust, no matter how much they drop the vendors will drop lower, however you will reach a point where the gear is cheap and common everyman and his dog is selling 50 for a dime, now this could cause the market to crash, but a vendor decides to sell adv gear even cheaper,
its snapped up, so people loose interest in 50 copies of proto when they can get 200 copies of adv for the same price, now people buying proto is rare, so it rises in price and the cycle continues!! |

If you are prepared to pay real money, just to flood the market with em, to make a little non redeemable in game mega currency sure, but who is dum enough to do that?? |

Thats it? Oh, well that was worth the wait!! Why? How do you think it will happen, what will drive the costs, if T3 weapon customization happens will players sell, prefabs, construcor kits, that kind of thing, will we be able to sell multiple items as a bundle or kit, or something, what do you think? |

Players have always managed to figure out their own prices, they're pretty smart marketeers and tycoons involved in either game so the economy will balance itself out. Demand and Supply will be player wrought and wrung.
You missed the other half of the question Iron? What about prefabs and kitcar items do you think they will be allowed? |

...I'm totally gonna buy it...no self control... What if I bought some and charged you 3mil isk a suit? If/when they should you would get 3m each. The point is that when they say you are getting a rare object you are getting a rare object. Someone may buy every one they can just to raise the price. So what, it is fun. We have a way to transfer money next we need player trading. After that we need contracts and then the market. The next step is the bridging the gap to EVE and ISK transfer between them. EVE has the blueprints and will start production. The NPC market will stop making goods slowly and EVE side will ramp up accordingly. That is the process I would use.
Indeed, I w I uld love for the NPC maarket to be taken down, also while you should be able to buy from a neocom, Id like to have c a grand b azzare like area filled with holo stalls, proximity chat and the like, make it feel like there is universe besides the battlefield!! |
