I'm a scout who's been getting nerfed since uprising came out and 1.4 WRECKED scouts so bad it wasn't funny.
a great match now with knives is if I get a 2.0 K/D with them while back in 1.3 a great match was getting 20+ kills, now its 10+ as a great match... I don't think anyone will find a good reason. glad I havent spent a dime on the game yet  . |

Liked knives back when they were used through the melee button no purpose to them, personally. |

Lightning Bolt2 if you are not enjoying the game then don't play. Take a vacation from the game. Wait for 2.0. There is no logical reason to let a video game wreck you leisure time.
For instance I routinely stop playing Dust 514 while various bugs are addressed or to play another game. |

Take a break and let passive do its job. Come back when 1.5 drops, check in and see how it is. Do not like it well take another break. I myself well be taking a break around the holidays because I will not have time to for the game because of family. |

Funny how I think scoutse really were NOT screwed in 1.4.
I've been having fun with my Dragonfly scout lately.
From what I've seen, it's better to be a scout now than before because of the scanning; you're more stealthy.
And come on, 2.0 kdr isn't bad is it?

Scout's aint that bad!
Dragonfly BPO + standard SG + SMG + Active scanner.
Usually I go around16-4 in pub matches with that set and 1300+ WPs per match. Cost is around 17k ISK.
Usually I get message, scan prevented and I am invisible! Sneaking around killing hackers lone walkers and snipers + hacking points. Scanning ppl coming around corners and cooking a grenade and then finish them off with a SMG also works.
Sure killing with knives sucks but SMG and SG and AR still rocks the enemies. |

Let the passive roll in until 1.5. Scouts really got shafted unless you are a shotgun user. Even then, it's meh at best. |

I agree, I have advanced Gallente scout skill level and still enjoy. But the changes in 1.4 also affects how you can play the scout effectively. I am not or only rarely using scouts in ambush which is pure combat, here you need firepower and tanking to stay on top. the scout in my opinion is not a ninja but for recon, ewar, hacking, sabotage with remote explosives and stratetical positioning of droplinks behind enemy lines.
They are still very viable in skirmish, for hacking undefended letters, sneaking up and killing the sole defending mercenary etc. I can get lots of warpoints from hacking and flanking red dots in skirmish, not very much in ambush maps. |

Lightning if you dont enjoy the game currently take a break dude, if its only because of stats honnestly ill suggest to dont care about KDR, i know excellent scout like Kit-Kat pizza roll, MrMustard and others doesnt have a KDR of 2 and they remain in my head top scout because they probably less care of stats but they remain highly skilled |

I can't honestly recommend that you KEEP playing the game right now, but I definitely recommend coming back after 1.5 drops.
They're supposed to be working on Scouts for the upcoming build.
Also, Shotguns are a good Scout weapon as of now - not perfect, but still quite effective. |
