I'm a fellow Eve player. I bought a PS3 primarily for Dust 514, and figured i'd use it for all the other titles i've missed out on the JRPG genre. I log and keep up with Dust sporadically, at best, logging on for big patches at worst. The item packs and promotion offers get me like a fish on a worm - but on to my suggestions in what I think I wish Dust had in its future and what I believe to be possible and risky, something that would actually be impactful, for the Eve client.
1) High-Sec: With the coming Rubicon expansion in Eve, we will be able to bust Interbus customs offices in High-security space. I would like there to be a kind of embargo system, where, after a player/corporation in Eve has set up a Player Owned Customs Office, Dust Mercs can seize control of the planet and the instated Planetary Interaction tax by keeping a Planetary Control meter up with activity - perhaps a perfect introduction to the PvE drones. It'll give people passive isk, if the offices are used, and it offers a dynamic system that ruins a high-sec players day for a bit, offering more incentives for players to invest into more dangerous parts of space.
2)NPC Null-Sec: I want to see the implementation of being able to move capital ship components gradually into the poco, with whatever space it could handle. Introduce a mass limit and time of import delay depending on the amount of m3, keeping anything below 1000m3 an instant transfer. This would build at first a facility, which could be built with PI materials alone at first, and then the capital ship components that could ultimately create a huge weapon of mass destruction that could be aimed at NPC owned stations. Hell, let them respawn at Down Time, i don't care. But being able to disrupt the supposed safety of Null-Sec npc space would offer people to actually go out and take their own space. Give people something to fear. This should by no means be something that'll happen from one day to the next if done right and could change the landscape of Null-sec for the better.
3)Null-sec: Do the above, but obviously only stations owned by the POCO entity could import capital ship components. Let these destroy POS hanging off of moons. The interaction with Dust contracts would sky-rocket.
4) Low-sec: Bring back the Dust affects to system control, but require Mercs to join a side or take some kind of security status hit to where they are only able to accept pub matches for certain factions. Leave contracts open to the highest bidder or contractor looking for reputable Dust mercs to fulfill. I remember how hard it was to take a system with Dust bonuses. I was **** and I hated it, but it was awesome and I was happy when I said to myself, "Hey, they are actually making an impact."
