No one was AFK, they were actually trying to win, and good lord was it depressing. The WP total for our entire team was 2190, theirs was 7550. Our entire team in a squad wouldn't have even sniffed a precision strike, lol. This game NEEDS a game mode like PVE, or just give new players the option to return to the Battle Academy until they reach 100k lifetime WP. The other thing that baffles me is the unwillingness of "Vets" to help newberries get their bearings. They just laugh and talk smack to them the whole time. Why would you want to stick around a game that is so unfriendly to new players, both game-play wise and player base wise? I understand this is New Eden, and HTFU, blah, blah, blah, but with our player base so small as it is... I try and help these poor bastards from time to time, but sometimes, games like this make you think they have no hope of getting better without the Veteran player base helping out.
Not the worst. I was in an ambush once where my team went 80-1. No joke.
Also, my corp is routinely able to pull in 7500 WP with only one squad (6 players). A full team doing it isn't that impressive. |

I think you're missing the point, but you're also proving my point at the same time. You are describing pubstomping, which is leading newberries into FW to escape it. Instead they find even more sharks in the water. New players need something to keep them interested. Getting curb-stomped constantly is not the way to bring new players back.
I wasn't disputing the point you made; I was just not commenting on the point. I'm just showing you that example you were giving isn't the most extreme.
Also, we get these results when opposed by other squads, even in Faction Warfare. |

Of course, all these replies trying to "one up" who up stomps the hardest is kinda the point... It's the vets who need to get a clearer perspective of what they're doing. That is, it would be if the vet players who abuse pub stomping had the ability or willingness to give a ****. They don't as a whole. Thus, it is left to CCP to fix the matter. And the whiney-ass pub stomping vets just QQ on the forums about aim assist because a new berry shot them. Time to HTFU folks....hang on tight through all the pub stomps and bugs and lag. The CCP cavalry is coming....Soon
Well Howard Sanchez, if you knew me as well as you thought you did from your time in Zion, you would know I'm helping give a better example and not trying to show how much tougher I am than others.
But then I shouldn't be surprised, I suppose, that you would choose to twist the facts given you really don't care about others and turned traitor to the corp that counted on you as a leader. Sorry, but nothing you say at this point will convince me you have "the good of the community" at heart. |
