so i know a vehicle lock is coming in 1.5 at least it had better be as that was the date that was quoted me. and that means that soon my teammates wont be able to impede me from providing support. but that is besides the point why do you bluedots do the stupid crap you do in pubs im just curious because i understand a battlefield enough to know when i am not helping and when i am holding people back. just to put it out there as i dont know how many of you bluebies actually get on these forums, but if you get in my vehicle between now and 1.5 for any reason period anything at all even if you know me i will drive to the redline and sit and wait for the match to end or you to leave. if i was running proto av and gunna support and kill vehicles you have now effectively stopped me.
if i was gunna drive into the hottest part of battle and start flinging my logi around you have stopped me
maybe i was gunna tank but it doesnt matter because you sitting in my vehicle puts me in a position where it is easier to sit on the redline and occasionally budge my tires than play...because when push comes to shove i now cannot move from the driver seat. so if im running av or logi ina lav...you just made me useless and now your shooting my turret at my head wondering why i am sitting here. this is why..i cant tell you to get out if i need to recall and i cant hop out and utilize my suits. better to just afk and wait for the match to end to and do my support role next match...but ive found with the new queing system it likes to drop me into losing matches that are being won by vehicular might. hmm wonder why....
i just thought like stating it here because it seems lately the matchmaking system is dropping me into matches where i am the only av...and while it is wonderful to watch you get rampaged and relish that i alone could stop your suffering atm but sadly your in my lav shooting my small missile launcher at the enemy mcc NICE CONTRIBUTION BRO GG
and once i geta vehicle lock and so do the other tankers do not be surprised blue dots when u never geta lift you never sit ina turret unless its someone's you know. your idiocy ends 1.5 after a year and a half finally vet vehicles will not be usable by scrubs. |

If I see a friendly LAV, it's near the spawn point I used, and looks to be heading towards somewhere I want to be, I'll jump in and man the turret, but when we get close to combat, I'll usually bail out and fight from the ground. If you turn away from the battle, I'll bail out and make my own way to where I'm going, because I was planning on providing fire support while you deliver me where I want to go. If you're not giving me what I want, I'm not helping you either. And that's fine. You want to be alone, I'll let you be alone.
If I see a friendly tank, I'll stay with the tank and if I have a Repair Tool, I'll use it to buff your reppers and help keep you alive. When you're still at a decent HP level, I'll also be doing what I can to help kill things (and I have some Turret skills, so I'm more useful as a gunner than some players). |

LIKE I SAID, as soon as you turn away from the battle, I'm ditching that seat and finding my own way. At that point, you can happily turn back towards the battle and go your own way as well. I won't jump back into your LAV if you've demonstrated a willingness to retreat on account of a passenger. I respect that you have your reasons not to trust me if you don't know who I am.
When I'm running one of my junk fit tanks, I happily leave it to go hack things while it's got blueberry gunners. Usually, I look back after hacking and it's not there any more. Sometimes, I get lucky and my gunner(s) didn't run away. Once I got to jump back into the tank as a gunner and the person who "stole" my tank actually handled it pretty well as driver. Another time I had someone jump into the driver's seat and cover me with my Large Turret, then jump back into the gunner's seat as I was coming back to join him.
If I'm driving something that's actually well-fitted, I don't get out of the driver's seat until it's empty and ready to be recalled. |

All blueberries are useless. I don't want gunners unless they're green, generally speaking. There are some exceptions, but those are few and far between.
I don't know if we'll have a lock for 1.5; in fact I see to remember Wolfman's saying explicitly that we wouldn't. We won't need to fit turrets, though, so that's a saving of at least 140 PG, which is awesome. And the blues won't want to be in my tank at that point (or so is my hope) |

As a scout and a good team player I usually try to see what others are trying to tell me when they are unable to speak to me directly (such as jumping out the tank and shooting at it as a way of saying "get the 'F' out!"). As far as jumping into other vehicles go I try to avoid it unless I see a tactical purpose.
LAV= Will hop in if going the same way and will usually jump out early as I would rather not have the enemy looking at me. HAV= Will hop in to assist with killing a mob of enemies or tank v tank. Will also use it to give me a time to breath and charge shields. DS= Normally I would just avoid BB DS as I never know if the pilot has any sense. On the rare occasion that I do trust the pilot enough to hop in then I will not fire until it is apparent that providing air cover is the pilot's goal. If not then usually they just park somewhere high or hover over a tactical point in which case I jump out and drop uplinks or use my enhanced hacking abilities to cap the point.
Back when I was still a newb I was playing in a match and doing well. I seen an LAV rushing towards the enemy's redline and so I hopped in to support the assault... he then turned and ran away. He then went to a redline and proceeded to try and scare me out. Feeling disrespected and knowing I had an uber cheap fit on I just stayed as I wasn't about to run all the way back to my location (I have a decent fit now so it doesn't bother me anymore). I understand that drivers/pilots don't trust BBs 'cause they tend to steal your rides and get them demolished but sometimes you are holding your team back by NOT picking them up. Considering the price of vehicles I'm not surprised and can't really ask you to change as the idiots in this game will just keep jacking you but there are some truly loyal players out there that will actually SAVE your ride at times.
A teammate was using AV to ward off an enemy HAV while there own tank was being called in. When it landed I hopped in and used the main cannon to take out the attacking vehicle before the tank I hopped in was destroyed (half armor left) then hopped out.
A teammate was killed while calling in a taxi and I hopped in his vehicle and drove it to our redline until I found him (he kept running around the car and shooting so I took that as a sign that it belonged to him). Hmm.. would be nice to get a waypoint to the vehicle owner whenever you get in the driver seat of a vehicle that doesn't belong to you (unless it belongs to the enemy of course)
`Sigh. Just another fun game of DUST. |

Maybe if you didn't run solo you wouldn't have random blueberries jumping in your tank. You know, you could join a match as a squad of 3 at the least and then after spawning in run with your squad mates to an area that's slightly away from the blueberries before calling in your tank. |

While I understand your frustration this is incredibly selfish to do. I primarily run gunner and will never sit in the main drivers seat, unless the driver gets killed then I will try and return the vehicle. Now I do know that most randoms think that Dust is the preview of GTA5, but removing yourself from the battle just because a blue is in the car is just ********. |

If there's a driver, they get a marker for the owners current location that lasts 10 seconds. If an enemy stole it, you give away your position. If not, you have a chance to get it back. |

You don't understand what it's like for a blue dot to actually be indignant that you're taking them out of the battle, because 99 times out of 100, they don't have a clue what to do in your tank. If there's a swarmer on the ground throwing AV grenades at me and launching volleys, THEY GET OUT AND RUN AWAY instead of killing the person using the swarms. I do NOT want that kind of person in my vehicle, and 99 times out of 100, it IS that type of person in my vehicle.
Before you start saying it's selfish, spend some time in the driver's seat. You'll understand soon enough. |

*which one is dead pool?*
Shut up. Anyway, my scout is invisible. scanner or not. I will not show up on scanner. And My tekkaman av suit has more attack power than most tanks. (can put away most HAV in 2 or 3 volleys)
So let me sit on top of your tank and message the enemy we kill with cool one-liners. Like,
"Hey, two for the price of one baby!"
"_______ (tankers name) and Surt Gods End just killed you! congrats. gift is in the mail"
*GG buddy. Bro fist!" |
