I had setup my suit last night with some new module/equipment toys I had skilled in, didn't really pay attention to my CPU/PG costs until I went to restock just now.
Might be a first for me, I know I have had max CPU or PG separately, but never both at the same time, especially by accident
Talk about being as efficient as possible. |

It's funny cause usually I have a crap ton of CPU left, and am usually hurt for PG, guess it means I am fitting my suit correctly with them both balanced?
I would like to think so
Not the best for pure survivability, but pretty well balanced across the board. Active scanner makes a world of difference, even when playing solo due to the tacnet changes. |

the active scanner is AWESOME right?? perfect for going solo and helps your squad tremendously |

I've had a couple of suits like that in the past until I started putting levels in fitting optimization and weapon operations to squeeze as much CPU/PG out of my suit as possible. I'm hoping that one day, we get rewarded for going under your CPU/PG costs by having those reserves go toward shield recharge, armor repair rate, or stamina. |

You're lucky that's a shield tank. Armor tanks have to sacrifice any cpu/pg modules to fit as much armor modules as we can.
This fitting has "cheap tactics" written all over it. |

so if dropsuits get that then so should vehicles. |

Fitting armor is easy, I normally run 5 complex shield which requires 3/4 of my low slots to be nothing but CPU/PG enhancements, and at that point I can only run 1 equipment + 1 weapon + 1 nade and have less than 700 HP. If I stuck all complex armor in my low slots I would have plenty CPU/PG left over, tons of health, and would be able to fit several complex damage mods.
If you are used to being a slow turd, then armor tanking is beyond easy to pull off for most any suit out there. How does 3 complex damage mods, proto AR, proto hives and 910+ HP sound? Cause that would be possible with the same suit if I spammed armor plates in my low slots.
I play solo 99% of the time in ambush, so my one suit has to fill as many roles as possible. Which means I have to be fast (hence my complex catalyzer), be able to figure out where the enemies are (my active scanner), revive friendly players if needed (ADV nanite injector), be able to survive a beating (my 4 complex shield extenders) and be able to retreat if needed (catalyzer + enhanced stamina module).
Most players here rely on squads, I rely on myself and my suit alone to get me though matches. If you think that is cheap tactics, then fine.

My fits are perpetually going over and the slow game of catching up ensues. Not long ago it took two levels of that Explosives skill to squeeze out some vital CPU. Life after getting the fitting buff skills to 5 seems to be increasing the Weapon Operations, Explosives, and the dreaded Weapon Upgrade skills. Those are not sexy skills.
It doubly stinks since there are Vehicle Upgrade and Turret skills that need attention. One thing I learned from the character resets is one does not just rush into piloting skills. |

Thats not how it works, never worked that way in eve wont work that way in dust, having more pg/cpu just gives you more wiggle room and having max fitting skills is always a good thing. |

I have an advanced Gal logi that I really like and it is maxed out in both. I try very hard to max out my CPU/PG because if I don't I feel like I am cheating myself out of a good fit. I do have cheap fits that has less than half of of the suit resources used but I am running basic mods and weapons on an advanced suit. I can drop the price from around 100k down to about 30K just by dropping from advanced to basic and I don't really notice the difference in performance.
The LR is a great example, dropping from an ELM to a basic only improves the heat build up a few points. Every other stat is the same. I just learn to manage heat better. My damage out drops because I switched form complex to basic only drops the DPS by a couple of points. It is almost not worth the complex.

So that's why you complain so much about tanks. Now it all makes sense. |
