It was like, the only cool thing about Planet Side 2. Was being able to float up a bit. Dust feels so heavy and grounded, could make for an interesting specialization.

I always liked play the starwars battlefront games and having the clone troopers with jet packs so i would be interested if Dust was able to get a balanced jet pack type item.
I guess it could screw up map design a little. Or maybe not. |

I'm imagining that they'd only work in bursts for a few secounds so you'd never be able to get to like the top of one of those towers.
And really it's only forges and snipers using dropships for that. They can all die :P
Since a jetpack wouldn't necessarily increase your horizontal movement speed or help a whole squad get somewhere much faster then it might not detract from dropship's role. |

I spawn in. Turn on thrusters. Fly to the top of a building. Drop uplinks. Boom whole squad spawns on top of bulding. ????????? Profit. Thats how I see it working and I'd rather not.
If it only went up like 5-10 meters? Maybe you're right though.
