ALmost by accident, I ended up playing my stealthy scout, with a knife and scrambler pistol
.. and then i started noticing that the pistol was actually working better for me than the knives (if the target wasnt busy trying to hack something).
Umm.. this thing is stupidfast rapid fire, even though number of shots is limited. If you can get just half of them to hit the target, you can definitely take out a scout.
Get the head, and you can take out most anything else.
I didnt see any google hits for ninja pistol build though.
Knife is nice for "true" ninja, since it's silent. However, seems like pistol is.. somewhat quiet?

Ive been having some fun with the burst pistol, can one burst most suits to the heat. I also have proficiency 5 on it so it does massive damage. |

Pistols are definitely a lot of fun, and there are many here that love them. And they pack some serious punch!!
I had an alt a while back that was a pistol scout exclusively. It was a lot of fun, however my KDR was horrible. I did it so that I wouldn't have to worry about any of the light weapon skills, and so that I could fit more on my scout suit since pistols have lower fitting requirements (especially when compared to a light weapon.)
Anyway, that ALT is an Amarr only medium user now, and my main scout is an AR or Shotty + SMG guy. I love the SMG for it's brutish lethality and because I have the BPO for it.
A lot of the pistol guys like to keep how cool pistols are on the down-low.
The #1 rule of being a cowboy gunslinger is you don't talk about pistols.

You stumbled upon an issue that hasn't received large amounts of QQ yet, surprisingly.
People are still under the impression that a "pistol" is inferior to automatic weapons in this game.
Even after the Flaylock came around and left.
This community is an intruiging animal indeed.

I like it for goat hunting and downing wounded heavies. I pair it with another scrambler or SMG (my weapon of choice). I've tried pistol logi in 1.2, but I've ran out of ammo and had to use hives for it. Not really good idea for true logi. ;-)
Skill it up, you will not have problems with clip ammo. You might still have problems with overall ammo. So have another baby on you.
Go for headshots, 450% dmg mod is ****. |

Man, I don't think I can afford to skill another sidearm. I have knives and smg, but the pistol sounds cool to use. |

Pistols are downright deadly in the right hands. Most people don't consider the pistols OP because it actually takes skill to aim. Because most people suck at this they immediately think they suck when it is the other way around  |

Ya I was wondering about the pistol. My question was pistol or SG a better choice? The Pistol has better stats all around. So I went pistol and I am still trying to be decent with it. So far I am not so great, I still need a lot more practice that's for sure. Any tips you could share? |

Ninja scrambler scout used to be one of my favorite pass times in chrom and earlyer builds. And boy do I have a lot of fond memories from those days.

I've tried the other sidearms, but I always come back to the Scrambler Pistol. When you go for headshots anyway, there's really no reason not to. I'm not afraid to go toe-to-toe with a Heavy or a Shotgunner when I have my pistol.

OHK a weaker assault with breach pistol to the head. GL aiming for the head in a fast fight w/o KBM. Too many eggs in a small basket imo. |
