If anyone else is as ADD as me I refuse to read a single thing. That lady talking does not grab my attention and screams to be ignored and silenced. Videos are time consuming and when you've just downloaded a game you want to jump in and PLAY it.
But you can't, because you have no idea what you're doing.
So what's the solution, how do you cater to people's inherent impatience ? |

CCP needs to introduce Drone PVE before we get a proper tutorial.
Then they could design a one-off "single player level" that walks you through equipment, gear, using multiple fits, dying a horrible horrible death, respawning, taking a point and wrapping things up.
Only way to do it right, in my opinion. |

You could do like Planetside 2 did, just make a starter zone that goes over the basics, if you want to check it out roll of a freebie account and roll up a new char, dumps you right in the tut and your faction leader explains everything. |

Heh i could see it now for the horrible horrible death, have 3 drones built to simulate the classes of drones, light medium and heavy, and then when its explaining the heavie drone have it go rogue on you, break out of the case and murder you. |

A certificate system akin to EVE's but done in such a way that achieving a certificate for something would require both a skill set achieved from SP and actual gameplay requirements.
For example, to earn Assault Rifle - Standard, you would have to get Assault Rifle Operation to 1 and then get, say, 25 kills with ARs. Allow people to browse different certificates and give short descriptions on each, and have multiple levels of each corresponding one (Standard, Advanced, Elite).

That's a great idea. We know the cert system works, even EVE vets use it, and it does a good job of helping players navigate their way through a strange and complex system(especially if they don't come from EVE).
It would be good if, like EVE, the certs could be set private or publicly visible or EVE-mailed to and individual. Would make the recruiters' and trainers' lives a bit easier. |

AIs that know how to bob and weave like a real player, speed run like a speed scout, or tank bullets like a proto heavy.
Only problem is how CCP is gonna make AI aiming better. We already experienced a turret perfectly headshotting a person out of a speeding LAV. |
