Well whoever writes their skill descriptions is terrible. JS.
I'd offer to do it for them, free. The only thing I can imagine is that people in Shanghi write the skill code, and then they can't properly translate it back to English for the Iceland team to understand or something. |

You had friends who first tested Dust in 1.4 and quit because it attempted some level of aim assist?
Really?.... |

Well in Halo you don't have to screw around with loadouts, or selecting a new fitting after each death.

I know CCP is afraid to "Fragment the playerbase" anymore, but they've got it backwards. They need new game modes or they will continue to lose new players, and hemorrhage old ones.
If you owned a theme park and they were losing customers every year would you
A: Shrink the park and discontinue operation of several rides B: Keep it the same and hope for something to change C: Add new attractions
If you answered A, cut back on existing features, then what do you do the next year when customer turnout is even LOWER?

Now loop that into an infinite regression till you have no rides, and no visitors and you have demonstrated CCP's approach to the problem. A lack of ambition. |

KING CHECKMATE wrote:Nguruthos IX wrote:for why they wouldn't bother playing it? Me and many of my frieds had the same issue. WE bought stuff, thinking it was one way, it ended up being something else. I stayed with Dust. But when they realized they had to start playing all over to actually test/play as something else they dropped it.(they all had between 5-9 million) Thats 6 players lost because the lack of respecs.... Good going CCP / Community.
I think this problem is alleviated if CCP did only 2 simple things!
1. Add BPO for weapon that exists, using a militia version. (Must make a few new militias) 2. Convey to new players that skill points cannot be reallocated once spent, and to spend them wisely after testing which weapons they prefer to use. Be 100% certain that this information is received.

Well in Halo you don't have to screw around with loadouts, or selecting a new fitting after each death. other games have given him a notion of what a particular class does, and fittings just made it all the more confusing... btw this is just my opinion don't try to convince me: curently dust is a game I like and play casually and get mad at, that will never change :) Altho the $100 I was saving up for an elite pack for late november are slowly becoming my GTA V funds
Of course, yeah. No other game has as much fitting selection choices, And 1x use equipment. That's a lot to hit someone with up front and they do a poor job at it. |

Glad to see they're learning better level design now. The difference between old sockets and new sockets is night and ****ing day.

I think you excluded a scenario. What if all your rides were poorly designed, suffered from mechanical problems, and your customers were unsatisfied and angry and letting you know about it? What do you do in that situation?
Then you don't have a choice. You need to kick it into overdrive and simultaneously work on an appeasing amount of new content And repairing old structural problems. You'd need a balance and at least 110% effort.
If you just to one or the other people will be frustrated/bored and quit. |

Grief PK wrote:They realized after being lead through the Academy oblivious of the permanent nature of their skill choices that they ****** up royally (out of pure noob ignorance) and asked the valid question ... why am I being punished for my ignorance? /q
I'd say if they had BPO's available for every militia weapon and were NOT ALLOWED to use anything else till they completed a short tutorial that explains how items are lost and skills are permanent.
This way nobody spends all 500,000 starting SP on repair tools, decides they hate it, realizes they can't undo, uninstall game, never come back. |
