i was running a squad and a orbital was ready but i didnt use it right away i saved it and then i looked at the orbital to use it and it said tactical orbital ? |

These orbital strikes are not new by the way, they've been in for a very, very long time. |

3 types.
Hybrid charged orbiral ( large blast radious, slow activation )
frequency crystal orbital ( tight blast radious, fast activation )
Projectile EMP orbital ( large blast radious, destroys all targets shields on impact )
Of course they could have just renamed it though.... |

An Eve pilot was orbiting the planet and had that type of ammo loaded. You were most likely in a faction warfare battle.
It is still a bit buggy, but if you look in the sky you will see a red box with the pilots name in it when they are in orbit. |

I do wish it would tell you what type of ammo the EVE guy is using, all it says is "Starship - Tactical." Luckily for me my random EVE support was an EMP and I called it on a Gunlogi, but I almost called it on a bunch of infantry which would of been a waste. |

The EMP orbital has the widest area of effect (blast radius) and is great for knocking out all of the uplinks ect. |
