putting people into half finished games. You need to stop putting people into finished games. You need to stop putting people into Ambush games where the clone counts are lopsided by 20 or more.
Believe it or not, there is a point where a game is already won. Especially in a 50 clone Ambush game. Being thrown into a game with 10 minutes on the timer, and the clone counts are 44-25, that game is done. And since your spawn system is so broken, you often get spawned in the middle of a roving squad of reds, with no blues in sight, because surprise surprise, they just got slaughtered by the superior team.
I haven't been joining battles at the Defeat screen lately, not since 1.2, but I know it is still happening. I can see the names joining while I'm looking at my victory or defeat screen. I find it hard to believe that your dev team is such **** that they can't properly code the joining of a match.
Due to the increased deployment times, joining a match to earn 1000 SP is wasting my time. Fix your **** please. This is basic FPS101 stuff. |

I've thought about that. But why wouldn't it just keep me in the queue longer? Due to the event, Ambush games are starting and finishing rather quickly. Seems everybody is in that queue. I'm going to have to switch to skirmish just to earn my 3000 SP, lol! |

Panther Alpha wrote:The full matchmaking thing crashed down in the release day.. simply because NO ONE wants to play against Pubstompers, as soon as people sees one of the known Pubstomping corps, the automatically leave. So the new matchmaking system couldn't cope with all the leaving and joining crap... Pubstompers "literately" Broke the matchmaking.
This is an interesting consequence. Yesterday, I joined a few matches that I thought were going to be complete ass-whoopings. Full squads on the opposing team, from Molon and and likes. A bunch of what appeared to be no-names, though some were in squads together, on my team. They actually were very close games, that payed rather well due to the Proto we were killing.
I may not be paying much attention to the kill feed, but I don't see people leaving the battle like before. It must be happening though, because I do join battles in progress a lot. |

For all the simple things we complain about it isn't an issue of being unable to code... not saying everything is good just that they have done an awful lot of stuff that is not as easy as it looks. It's not always polished, there are balance issues, the content is thin, we may be in the middle of some strategic direction changes, most changes require later adjustments to get right, etc, etc. I'd be happy if I'd created a game this "bad" as it would be a great foundation to build on -- assuming that is the plan.
One would have to assume you mean as a small indie developer. Not a large dev with the resources to pull in extremely talented people to bring about a massive change to the FPS world. |

Do you actually KNOW how to "fix" it? Do you know the logistical limitations of a infallible matchmaking system, the game cant solve it indefinitely because every input into the matchmaking system is unique, there will always be people that get effected!! In general the matchmaking has been very very very much improved in .4 so if you can fix it post the code here lets see your infallable coding!! Or do you think that because you saw a bird fly that making humans fly is easy?
No, I don't know. But I'm not paid to know. If I was paid to know, you better believe I would know.
If the world operated by your logic, we'd all be farmers. Innovation happens to fill a demand that someone needs. And more often then not, the demandee is NOT the innovator.
But good try...
