I'm interested to know how many Dust514 gamers are loving their new crutch and how many have the guts to rely on their own skill rather than aimbot, judging by the AR domination on all servers not too many de-activated it |

Deactivated. When using a weapon like the scrambler rifle I prefer relying on my own superior gunplay rather than letting the game do it for me. |

I don't think it's aimbot or a crutch, I just don't like to use aim assist in any game. The only crutch in this game is the Explosive spam.
And there are more things that have aim assist than just ARs. It sounds like you just need to make tactical advances at the enemy besides vibrating back and fourth t avoid being hit. |

Good to hear that I'm not alone in de-activating it, from gameplay this week its felt that way
I use the Plasma Cannon so i decided that aim assist was a bad option seen as i have to predict movement rather than shoot straight at targets, explosive spam is in every game its simple don't stay in that area once the 'rain' starts falling as for aimbot/AR it is clearly reaping the benefits more than most other classes |

Good point I am sure most people will lie about whether or not they use it, but anyone who has put time into SR/LR/PC has been practicing 'leading' their targets , imo these players will not need AA |

I wouldn't. Besides, I use a F***ing knife in a game all about guns and I know aim-assist don't work on knives. Tell me, have you ever dedicated everything towards scouts and not invest a single skill point on a gun and use the knife as a primary weapon? I can deal about 1200 HP damage with a single charged attack with the knives in just one second. The only other person who can compete with me is a shotgunner. |

Ive used it now and then to test its effects to base my opinion on but then it is turned off simply put i dont feel i need it.
That video ive seen and to be honest i did not see its results coming as it did not match mine but i did not have a proper test i tested it in a few pub battles, its times like this i wish we had a test server.
While i agree the magnatism does need to go tracking without input should not happetn i think there are a few things left out of the video that need looking into but fair play to the guys that made it. |

Strangely enough I had deactivated AA since the later stages of Closed Beta, around November. |

First time I've even turned aim assist on since I got the game several months ago and it went off again after I got to see what all the hype was about. Scrambler pistol to the back of the skull and tanks, aim assist doesn't seem to help much against that.  |

Mine's been off since... uprising 1.1 I believe. However been turning it on to see how bad it is lately and taking some notes and what aspects of aim assist or hit detection are causing it to feel 'too easy' |

You mean the comments where people saw the proof everyone has been telling them for a few days then still said "No its all a conspiracy! my aim has always been this good!"

I used it for one game in Chromosome and didn't notice a difference. Turned if off after that.
I used it for one game in uprising 1.4 and I was like "Whoa, what's up? I'm not this good....!" Turned it off after that.
Yeah, aiming is harder without it, and I could probably use the help but to me it's fun to learn and improve and hone my aiming and tactics. Sure, if I actually treated this as a competitive FPS maybe I'd practice more and be all into taking advantage of everything that could help.... but I'm not. This isn't a "sport" or a "competition". This isn't what I need to feel "elite" or like a badass in life.... to me.... it's a game, it's fun. I do it my way to have fun and it's fun working on my skills without the assistance of this algorithm.
So yeah, some people don't actually use it with a DS3. And I run AR, SMG, Shotty or Laser on my scout suit so there are times when it would definitely help.
