you seem to forget they fixed hit detection and the hit box too...to us vets that makes everything seem crazy different because we got use to broken aiming.
really we are all on much more even playing ground now with newbs, and that's the panty wedgy a lot of the leet pro (to stompers) community have issue with...they aren't god anymore...and that's good.
now the game is more brutal and competitive, blueberries aren't so useless, and red berries are to be feared.
plus kb/m already had a HUGE advantage that now has a smaller gap with aim assist. also part of the reason for the QQ im sure.
you say your friends quit for this? I say eff your friends... this game finally has some balance and that's, of course, gonna make god mode care bears angry. that's also a good thing
GOOD JOB CCP!....HTFU AND ADAPT MERCS!
So a shooter game that does most of the aiming for you is suddenly engaging? I've felt the magnetism and to be honest my aim is becoming worse now that I'm getting used to the stickiness of the reticle, I'm getting kills when I honestly shouldn't be. What's the point in focusing your shot if all bullets are gonna sink in anyways, what's the point in aiming down the sights if spray and pray locks on your target for you, and what's the point in maneuverable suits if they can't escape the reticle lock? It's not that our fitting functions have changed, it's that game mechanics and their intended purposes are falling apart.
The facts are that assault rifles are becoming the new flavor of the month and scouts and heavies are getting pounded on now. Good sprint is almost useless now, I know scouts who ditched catalizers and shotguns for plates and ARs, and I've even seen many heavies drop their HMGs for a rifle as well, there is clearly an imbalance and the only reason some don't see it is because they were already using the builds that are in FOTM mode.
The truth is that if this is not addressed in some way, CCP is going to do what they have always done and see that ARs are getting abnormally more kills than other weapons and it'll get a very bitter nerf. We don't want to see game mechanics and balances thrown into disarray all because of one element that takes a lot of the skill out of killing.
