That was a mouthful. And now for the copy/paste.

But why not add an equipment state like PG/CPU and call it EQ and give a suit a certain amount of EQ to allow it to fit equipment. Then you reduce the Logi suit's PG/CPU. Read the last two pages, very good ideas circulating. Is the current idea most people have agreed upon the boost to repair tool range? Because I feel that is bit pointless. What I'd rather see is have TTK go back to Chromosome levels through weapon rebalancing and then giving Assault suits a built in damage mod. That will help with their assaulting role. If you want logis to focus on equipment and not tank I still believe that adding a new fitting requirement would be the easiest way to do that. You'd reduce logis PG/CPU which would give them limited choices in the slots and would not allow them to tank as easily. They would need to pick and choose and nobody would choose the logi suit as the suit to stack HP on anymore due to the limited PG/CPU. However by adding an EQ fitting requirement to suits you could give each suit a certain amount of EQ. Let's say for an example a suit has 300 CPU and 250 PG but only has 50 EQ. The logi suit on the other hand would only have maybe 100 CPU and 75 PG with 125 EQ. (These are just random numbers).

This is a good idea, what you could do, like ccp are currently trying to test! Is to give it somewhere between the cureent and and alittle more than assault, then equipment gets the gallente bonus for all logis, but a little high, so that a full bank of equipment only costs a little more than 1 euipment on an assault, now you can use what ever is left for your modules!!
Could you clarify a bit? I don't quite understand what you are saying specifically. |

Seems like this is a troll thread. Which is probably why it's getting buried with them. If you reduce a logis tanking ability than his survivability would be lower, thus causing them more death, thus not being able to carry out their role of being a logi. Think about it logically. The reason why a logi has so many slots is so he can equip shields, armor and whatever else he may need to survive and help keep his team supplied and alive. If you brought down the logis ability to tank they would be near worthless. From the sounds of your idea you basically want them to be scouts with equipment slots. Which would just be a slaughter house. I for one always aim to kill logis first because of their extended hit box and lack of speed, they're much easier to hit than assault guys, which means easier kills. Who cares if they have more shields and armor, they're easy to hit/kill.
If a logi can't survive combat then the whole class is just a bust. A logi is basically a combat medic, not some guy sitting back at base camp with rations and bandages. Lets not forget that a logi is meant to support his squad and team, if that means killing people then it has to be done. Don't banish a class to the darkness because you're tired of being trolled by people better than you. If that logi can kill you imagine what he can do in an assault suit with a smaller hit box, more speed and a side arm. Be glad he's a logi and not an assault guy riding you back at the red line.
You can still tank but you'll be forced into your role rather than having Caldari logis running around with 800+ EHP. |
