This is funny that a Team Player dude is telling me that our chances against STB are not good because of TP's participation in the battles.

The guy isn't even online, hasn't talked to his leadership but just assumes that he'll be fighting in the battles for STB.

I've been around a lot of players in Dust. Those dudes in STB must be some special characters to accept their CEO not believing they can win a battle. Honestly could you imagine what players you've been around would say to this?

I'm not even trying to meta here. It just blows my mind. These certainly aren't Type A personalities that have any sort of competitiveness in them. I would never be part of a corporation that did things this way and I haven't met many people that would.

It's not that STB has the ability to gather ringers. It's that STB uses ringers to the extent that they have a reputation for not even attempting to fight their own fights.

I'll guarantee that 100% of STB's opponent mutter "How many TP will they bring into this battle?" Perhaps being an athlete and soldier put a sense of pride in me that would never be okay with that.

I'm sure there are some strategic advantages there. Similar to being the prison ***** to some powerful gang leader in prison. Holding that dude's pocket while you walk around the prison yard certainly offers some long term safety, but it damn sure doesn't look very good.

By that logic, TP and STB would be in the same alliance.

Germany and Russia had a non-aggression pact, they weren't allies. Japan and Italy were allied with Germany, Russia with us, Britain and France. You should actually know something about history before you start using historical analogies. Now go crawl back under the big blue skirt..

Russia invaded Poland after Germany invaded to prevent Germany from taking it. They didn't do so as allies.

Germany invading Poland led to Russia joining the allies.

You see it in America's military prowess. We stole all the good scientists.

The world would be a vastly better place.

There's a book and movie called "Fatherland". Germany beat Russia and signed a peace treaty with the Allies. Doesn't delve much into the technology, more into the political aspects. Very interesting scenario.

So... so... so not how it would be. Seriously. You just change one unipolar world for another. So it would be the Germans playing world police. Oh wait... they lack the geography to do such a thing resulting in continued geopolitical multi-polarity diluting world-wide wealth and advancement due to constant bloody (as opposed to 'cold') feuding; technology would not have progressed at such a pace if not for the bipolar soviet vs. american era due. All this combined with the lack of post-WWII human rights initiatives, this makes such a world a much bloodier place. That's taking the "Germany defeats the allies" view.

Issues in the Middle East and Africa would still be issues in such a world - the seeds of conflict date to the colonial period if not before. But I digress...

Realistically, Germany could NEVER "defeat the allies" ... they could only "win the war". There is a difference. Realistically, their winning the war would not have stymied the rise of America as a superpower; despite WWII-era propaganda, Germany was and never will be an existential threat to the United States. If Germany had won WWII, it would have had to be due to the failure of continental Europe+Britain causing the U.S. to withdraw and a ceasefire to be arranged. The U.S. remains powerful and progress continues with Germany playing the motivating "Great Other" as opposed to the Soviet Union. An assumed pre-emption of nuclear demonstration by the U.S. allows Japan to rise in the East. However, nothing changes Mao's Revolution and communist China comes to the fore with Japan as their primary antagonist as opposed to cold relations with Russia. The Korean War never happens. Vietnam never happens. The U.S. entering the 21st century is economically strong but still in an antagonistic state with Europe which is an economic backwater - because the ******* Marshall Plan never happens and it still suffers the demographic issues it faces today. You forget that the U.S. did not have to be rebuilt, but continental Europe did.

African nations fight for independence against mostly German overlords and are more successful and progressive as you end up with increased coalescence along cultural lines rather than externally-negotiated independence along colonial lines...

**** Germany was planning on mass genocide of almost all races, not just Jews and the other victim types so they can virtually mass produce the "Aryan race". The land grabbing they were attempting was going to be for farm land to feed the "superior beings" for they can multiply. Germany itself didn't have sufficient farmland in order to do this, so ****** made his land grabs.

On a different note, if the ***** had won and conquered Great Britain (and perhaps ending the war with little to no US invlovement), they would have been in conflict with Italy seeing how ******'s and Mussolini's plans conflicted with each other. Mussolini wanted a "Roman lake" and ****** already had Northern Africa and had a puppet state of Vichy French in the western Mediterranean.
