Dude I don't know where you've been but there are definitely cover in a lot of maps (not counting snipers or long ranged attacks). Trust me, I'm an armor tanker for a year now I've been taking cover and tactical advancing because my shield can't recharge in less than 5 seconds. I actually have to think about my advancements instead of charge straight into an objective CoD style and strafe back and forth expecting wreak havoc.
I don't even use aim assist so I'm not going to defend or support it but if it's making shield tankers utilize tactics and thinking besides CoD charging straight in and vibrating back and fourth as a means of defense then it can't be all bad.

Have you ever heard of hit and run tactics? For me I have a scout suit that is unable to be tracked by any active scanner execpt for the insane 16(12?)dB prototype one.
If I see a situation where it's possible for me to flank around I do it, kill two or three (and throw a flux) and get the hell out of there.
I don't know about you but it's pretty universal about damage types in any games (or even real life examples).
More Armor- Take more damage, slow
Shield- Do less damage, faster than armor, recharge automatically.
Speed- May not have a high hp but speed suits generally rely on intelligence (information to attack targets). I.e you can't fight on the frontline of battle. Flank around or support, catch the enemy off guard. |
