They would have been worth it had they been filled with standard BPOs that required minimal skills rather than a grab bag of BPCs.
As it stands, I won't pay for any of that crap, because it's all temp expendables. I'll pay for BPOs for the basic equipment, suits and weapons. Nothing above Standard level. I'll pay for the occasional novelty vehicle BPO.
But I'll be buggered if I'm going to pay $50.00 or $100.00 for a pack of suits and weapons that 90% of which I will never use because I have no intention of skilling up to advanced or prototype weapons or dropsuits of that class.
Try again, and this time I suggest making packs that follow the racial profiles. like a minmatar dropsuit set. and a gallente dropsuit set. Things of this nature. and no, I'm not paying 100 bucks for BPCs. Ever. I don't know too many people who consider a hundred dollars of in-game expendables is a good investment. |

Said it all really. I'd be shocked if there was even a single sale of the Allotek pack. |

I'd like to actually see packs people consider worth the purchase price as the standard set by CCP so this game doesn't fall off the grid from stifled funding.
The allotek packs are too broad-based to be useful to any player given that to use all of the equipment one must have level 3 in every specialist dropsuit and weapon. This means if you're focusing on say, amarr dropsuits, and haven't put out points to the others, then odds are there's not going to be much of value to you in the pack given that player trading and market exchange aren't options, and you can't sell them back to the NPC market for ISK, that means the vast majority of your purchase will simply sit in your inventory collecting dust and being unused while you paid 50-100 dollars to be able to use only a fraction of the items you paid for.
But thanks for your constructive comments and complete regard for the intent of this post. I'm sure everyone will bask in your infinite wisdom. |
