you know, honestly.....aside from the hiccups of matchmaking and aim assist, I've realized 1.4 is actually really freaking awesome. Well, aim assist is more of a projectile vomit rather than a hiccup, but Dust is like a completely different game. People say Dust is nowhere near other FPSs, but look at it compared to even E3....
If CCP can keep this rate of development, we are really going to start having quite the game on our hands. Especially since it seems CCP finally figured out hit detection for the most part and patches will start being about content instead of balance/mechanics tweaking....
Im starting to see it.....the light at the end of the tunnel.... |

Good stuff.
dont get me wrong, the aim assist is utterly terrible and having nice gear is pointless if the noobs dont have to aim. |

Good stuff. dont get me wrong, the aim assist is utterly terrible and having nice gear is pointless if the noobs dont have to aim. Then get a cheaper suit & gear to run around in? I like the aim assist. I-¦m still topping the scoreboard in 8 out of 10 matches. If anything I-¦m getting more WP-¦s than before.. But like I said.. The game is now more user friendly and therefore more likely to attract more newbies.
If you mean being a step closer to COD, where the game is built to make noobs feel as skilled as the seasoned players, then yes, it is a step in that direction. |

I hear you dude and don-¦t get me wrong.. I love the skill side of this game. But 1.4 is much more user friendly and I feel it will make new players stick around for longer.
that is a big MAYBE considering the nature of this game and people coming here to get away from COD meatgrinders.
IF that turns out to be the case, i must ask you, was the end result really worth the cost of killing the one game doing everything it can to break the mold? |
