The carbon engine is still reserved mostly for Eve Online considering that it is by itself an entire gaming architecture. CCP built this engine by themselves in their own office for Incarna for Eve and originally tested it for Dust. Unfortunately the engine proved to be too complex and took up too much time for CCP to get a stable game out in time with that engine.

The Carbon Engine melted PS3 Dev Kits, so the scraped it. As to LLLL 514, Charcoal isn't the same as coal. BOth are carbon, but coal has more carbon than charcoal.

So what you're saying is that the CHARCOAL Engine will work on PS3 if CCP ever get around to making it, but COAL Engine will be PS4-exclusive, because it's slightly closer to the pure CARBON Engine running on PC?

CCP has already responded that dust has always been developed in the Unreal Engine. The only portion of carbon I can believe being in dust would be their server side stuff.

And guess what?? Sony is signed a deal with Viacom for television on the PS4. So yea...I want an Xbox One. My prerogative. It's my money.

Sony (which is a Lady name btw) is clearly on my nuts. Anyways, you can't tell me that that painted, polished turd-brick is sexy. And just because PS has TV, it doesn't mean it's their main focus. xbox isn't about games anymore, and it's all good. M$ is still money whoring POS that likes to **** people over, so have fun with your TV Box, while I play games, and I will (later on) play Dust on my PS4.

Probably not on the PS4, partly because UE4 looks awesome, and partly because it's just easier to upgrade from UE3 to 4 than it is to upgrade from UE3 to carbon.
