on null cannon hack points where the terminal is in the cylindrical firing apparatus, if I drop a remote it slides around and bounces of the walls until it settles itself outside the terminal area.
it looks like you guys fixed it so the remotes don't sink into the floor, as a result though they dont want to stay placed there at all.
before you ask, I have no way to get video of this.
Edit: the kind of terminals are like all the ones on Ashland but it is not just on this map and it doesn't always happen on every terminal like these... but it does happen quite often |

Oh yes, the magically travelling equipment, so much fun. After the update, only about 1 in 10 RE I've used has actually deployed in the spot I was aiming for, if they deployed at all... I'd say about half of them just disappear entirely. They were a bit iffy before the update, now they're almost too frustrating to use at all.
Though this seemingly random sliding around of the equipment appears to be the promised fix for disappearing hives and drop-up links, as they seem to now successfully deploy most of the time, just not necessarily in the location you wanted them in... |

As have I. This seems to be a side-effect of CCP's efforts to keep them from despawning-- the server and client now engage in some species of debate about where the explosive is that eventually lands it on the opposite side of the objective. What drives me nuts is how long it can take the debate to resolve-- often long enough that I STILL get murdered by a heavy coming around the corner.
For my ISK, this is not an improvement.
In the meantime, try dropping them on the ground just off the platform. They're a little more obvious, but they stick just fine so long as they're not on a raised surface that (somehow) leaves the server scratching its head about where they deployed. |

Oh, no. =(
Instead of fixing either the requirement for equipment to land the 'top' up or remodel the RE/prox mesh so they land most of the times the top up, this.

Interesting, doesn't seem to effect where they are deployed, but takes a long time to actually be deployed. That's really annoying |

I was hoping to have vid of them settling outside the area though, with your vid they slide around but still go to where you place them... I hope its enough to get the devs attention... |

As Zaria mentioned: this affects all equipment that needs to be throw down, but I still get a disappearing uplink from time to time. |

The devs won't respond to it because that means they've acknowledged the problem and "have to" do something about it. Seems to be a common occurrence around here...
"Maybe if we just keep telling them we're not experiencing the problem, they'll believe it doesn't exist and not realize that we screw up on EVERY SINGLE patch." |
