even though i can now aim my shotgun better - it is only how you see it, the ACTUAL shotgun still lags behind by half a second.
so if you aim TOO QUICKLY your fire will miss the target
does it sound ridiculous?
i am punished for BEING TOO GOOD
also GJ CCP for faking a fix
also where is your QA?
are they all getting fired? |

if i move ontop of enemy uplink (and have dead on aiming), if i fire TOO QUICKLY, the hit will not register
if i aim too quickly at enemy (such as close range battle dances) even my aim is dead on the hit still misses
what the hack |

The problem is not lag its a glitch the results in your shots going off at a 45 degree angle when strafing hard or turning hard. the gun fires on time but the shot goes off in some different direction than were your aiming.
think of it like the small missile turret glitch only for shotgun pellets. |

What do you mean by "too quickly"?
It doesn't actually explain anything in the context you're trying to use it. Describe what you're doing that doesn't work, and how you're solving the issue. |

I don't know but I tested it for several rounds just shooting walls and seeing where the shots landed and they were always 45 degrees off my aim point when turning hard or strafing. |

turning your aim to aim at an enemy - aims perfectly - fire when crosshair meets enemy - hit misses
turning your aim to aim at an enemy uplink - aims perfectly - fire when crosshair meets enemy - hit misses
but if you wait half a second (IF YOU ARE NOT ALREAEDY DEAD) aiming STILL before firing, the shot would be registered (mostly)

I don't think it's meant to affect Shotguns, but that never stopped it from breaking things in 1.3 while there was no aim assist and the setting "did nothing".
Mine is off, and I haven't noticed this when doing exactly what you described as a problem. So maybe it's intermittent (which also happens), maybe it's a settings problem, and maybe it's something else.
EDIT: I wasn't actively trying to test this at the time, so I will do what I can to test it for myself before ruling it out as a general problem. Most of my targets have been relatively close to my line of fire, so I haven't been high-speed spinning very often while firing. |

there is nothing more fustrating than aiming enemy in the FACE and shot him before he could shoot me and the hit didnt even register and then getting killed
he was WALKING BACKWARDS and my aim was PERFECT there was no question about the aim, the enemy upper torse was FILLING the crosshair circle |

i wonder if the aiming mechanism is PILED with layers and layers of redundent and useless modifiers CCP couldnt even tell if something hidden is affecting aiming |

I won't get a chance until tomorrow, but I'll test in DS3 myself, with aim assist on AND off, and if I can swing it, I'll try and get my KB/M hooked up, depending on time.
My current impression is that with AA turned off, I haven't seen the results you've described. But as I mentioned, I wasn't specifically testing for it, so I may have missed a moment where this did happen. |

Running DS3, 100/100 sensitivity, aim-assist on. Hipfiring at moving targets. Quickscoping for heads of stationary targets.
Tested a variety of shotguns, standard to proto. For the first time since Chromosome, I'm landing more shots than I miss. |
