Just please. Yeah, console gamers don't have the patience to pay attention to in-depth stats like these in our games. Something so complex would only happen in a PC game.
correction: console gamers (I myself am one, Im saving up to buy a custom gaming laptop from a website I found months ago) don't have patience for anything because unlike PC, consoles are always being outdated by the next generation. with PC you never have to buy a new or more advanced model, just upgrade your hardware, with console on the other hand, you have xbox, playstation and Nintendo which always come out with better consoles every 6 years, they don't improve old systems, they make them obsolete with the next generation.
the problem here is that console gamers aren't used to having to wait for forever to get something promised to them, normally to wait for a new game we wait for 1 year and poof that game is finished, weve never had to deal with PC issues on the basis that you guys wait for longer than we do on upgrades and system improvements.
that's where CCP has done wrong, there treating console gamers like PC gamers, this isn't a PC game, its a console game and should be developed in time so that it can keep up with the speed of console evolution.
console gamers aren't going to wait for years for this game to be perfect when they get already finished games in a fraction of the time. |

Being that this is a console game, the M/KB shouldn't be an issue, sure its an option to play with here, but its not the default system joystick, the controller is. The PC players here complaining about how they cant use their PC **** to play a console game is ridiculous. Be glad that you have even have the option to use the thing your used to in order to play here, console gamers don't have that option when going to the PC.
The M/KB issue is just stupid, its a console game, not a PC game, it shouldn't take priority over other issues that are keeping console gamers from coming here, CCP didn't make this game for EVE pilots to go to console, they made it in order to get more people from the console side to get interested in EVE online. |

no, I didn't click on the links.
the issue is about M/KB vs Controller, nothing else matters in that sense. |

it goes back the problem at hand, this is NOT a PC game, it is a CONSOLE game.
otherwise it would be available on the PC market, it is not, its only available on the playstaion market, which is a console |

the aim assist is a good thing, but only because they actually fixed the hit detection and shot registration, without those, aim assist wouldn't be worth what it is. before 1.4 hit detection and shot registration were horrible so even if you have pinpoint accuracy, you would still kill them at a slower rate, now that hit detection and shot registration are fixed, aim assist seems like its better than intended to be. |

oh yes iv heard all your PC vs Console arguments, in these forums, youtube and many other sites.
the fact remains, consoles are different from PCs and the games on each platform should not cater to those who are not playing the game in the intended platform, if you want to use your M/KB, go play a PC game, if you want to use a controller, go play a console game, simple as that, you cannot make a console game and expect it to act similarly to a PC game. that's like trying to eat ice-cream with a pair of tongs over an oven.
this game is not created for PC gamers, it was created for console gamers to get introduced to the eve universe through their side.
your just lucky that CCP let you use your accessories to play this game. |

your just lucky that CCP let you use your accessories to play this game. And the point I was making is that Meeko's post claimed console players can't deal with complex games and need everything dumbed down for them. That's blatantly not true for a large enough portion of console gamers to support a series of more than 15 games with some of the most intricate stat-driven customisation in gaming.
in that, I really don't give a **** whats dumbed down and whats not, its a game, im a gamer, I personally don't care which platform im on, if im on console, il use my controllers, if im on PC, il do what I can to adapt to the mouse, simple as that, im not going to try to use a controller on PC because PC isn't meant to be used with a controller, and consoles aren't meant to be sued with mouses.
in every FPS for consoles, there is aim assist, this game shouldn't be an exception because a few PC gamers are playing it.
before 1.4 controller users complained that M/KB users were OP, now its reversed. |

That statement is untrue, as someone who plays mainly PC fps's I use nothing BUT a gamepad, iv played in PC tourneys with gamepads and came in high standings. It seems only console players need aim assist because they've been babied their whole gaming life by aim assist.
In short, console players, get good, CCP remove aim assist and console babies, stop propagating kb/m is better than a gamepad, nether are better, both can be used equally well by those skilled in their prefered imput device.
Also CCP, since turn rates out the window, give both kb/m AND gamepads raw imput. It's a PS3 game. Why don't you just use the gamepad? Now, I love using keyboard and mouse as much as anyone. It's the heart of every FPS game, but I don't have that option so I am stuck with the gamepad. It's really not that hard to just learn how to use the gamepad. Do all you guys realize PS4 is fully KB/M supported?
this game isn't on the ps4 yet, when it gets ported over to it, then worry about it. |

SOCOM 1, 2 and 3 beg to differ. Before someone argues the point that those were TPS's, they could also be played in first person. Either way, they didn't have and didn't need aim assist... because console gamers didn't suck back then. Apparently they do now.
iv played them before, amazingly my copies of the games allowed me to have aim assist on, I just went to options and found it, I ended up trading them in because the games sucked.
if your originally looking through 3r person view, then its a TPS |

At all. Ever. Not in any of them.
who says I played online, I lost interest in the storyline |
